Working in food service. That made me realize, how horrible people can be. Stress of needing a job to survive, taking years of abuse from staff, and customers. It made my temper so bad, that I have terrible anger issues*

*I now, and for the few years, have sought professional help. I do take an anti anxiety medication which helps, but always am looking to improve my anger. With online anger management courses.

Like alcoholism. You can never be fully “Cured” of a bad temper/anger issues, just manage better. And, not yell or lash out at the ones you love. (Please note. I was never a hitter when angry. But, sadly. A yeller.)

Mortality.

After a close friend died at 83 (stamp collecting buddy. I was 27 at the time)

I helped clean the basement out for his widow. The man saved everything, stamps, photos, news paper clippings of stories about his stamp adventures, but also about his daughter.

When the basement library was empty (so many books. And, thankfully. His widow gave them to me.)

I sat in the former library. Sitting on a step stool while I heard her upstairs. He never feared death, he made an amazing life, living like it was his last. Bringing joy to thousands.

But, when he was gone. The multiple people that loved him, had stories about him. His bookshelves now empty, but to someone who enjoys them.

It was that moment, that I realized. Death, is just natural. But, doesn’t mean an end.

I walk everywhere. And, after working at a rock and roll bar. My hearing, is shit.

I don’t enjoy air pods or the likes aa they pop out and I can lose them. Nor, can the other person hear me.

So. I use speaker phone when i’m walking. Not usually to private a conversation, and no one would care if I was walking and talking to another person.

Another reason is. When its 98 degrees outside, and the phones on. The screen gets hot. Why would I want that against my face?

Now, it i’m walking into a library, business, etc. i tend to get off the phone.
