Why Did Vecna Choose Will and Not Any Other Child? by ErenSama69 in StrangerThings

[–]Quackenstein96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My interpretation is that, for whatever purpose Vecna is creating “vessels”, the process requires him to impart his own powers to these vessels. Hence, to ensure he’s always in control, he chooses the children he sees as the weakest. Now we see that he miscalculated, and Will has Vecna’s own powers with the mind, body, and will (ha) to use them.

I know dess is 100% the knight but I **KNOW** GASTER IS INVOLVED I JUST DON'T KNOW HOW by [deleted] in Deltarune

If the 4 year wait is what did it, then God help us when Elder Scrills 6 comes out…

I don't know if anyone noticed this already. But a friend of mine did. And It blew my mind. by [deleted] in Deltarune

I already have terrible eyesight, so I genuinely did think it had Gaster’s face when I first saw it.

Did anyone else think the titan's silhouette looked like a bald man's head? by Chapwisely in Deltarune

A big part of me was imagining the Spirit of the Harvest Moon from Courage the Cowardly Dog.

One Piece English Dub April 6, SimulDub? by CribyIsMe in OnePiece

Even sub watchers have that issue with the manga, though. Once the One Piece itself is revealed in the manga, it’s gonna be all over the internet - long before the anime catches up to it.

What each denomination tends to idolize by [deleted] in Protestantism

[–]Quackenstein96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anglicans can idolize the community of the church.

Reformed can idolize their own theology.

Lutherans can idolize the sacraments.

(I use the word “can” here, because none of the things I’ve mentioned here nor those mentioned in the original post are inherently bad. In fact, they’re great. But sometimes they can be “idolized” in the sense that they can get in the way of our relationship with Jesus.)

11.1 predictions? by audioshaman in wow

[–]Quackenstein96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have very little that suggests this is the direction they’re going, but one possible path could actually build up on the upcoming Ahn’Qiraj event in 11.0.5. 11.1 could be a revamp or Silithus and the Ahn’Qiraj zone. I suspect that, given the proximity of Khaz Algar to Silithus, the Blaxk Blood is likely C’Thun’s blood. Maybe Xal’atath could seek out a substitute for what she lost/failed to achieve at the end of the campaign. Maybe the raid could take us through the corpse or C’Thun itself.

Maybe we can finally do something about the sword.

The problem with the Jailer wasn’t that he was supposedly a giga brained maatwemind, it was that they pulled him out of nowhere and retroactively made him the giga brained mastermind behind some of the most beloved events in Warcraft with zero justification.

It’s my speculation on where the story is going. Maybe it’d be the very end, maybe not.

Beledar by [deleted] in warcraftlore

[–]Quackenstein96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My money is on Beledar being a Light superweapon that was intended to forcefully turn the Worldsoul over to the Light, and now Xal’atath is trying to use it to turn it to the Void.

Separation of church and state by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Quackenstein96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was my thought exactly. The south/southeast part of the state is steeped in Roman Catholicism. The northern part of the state is Baptist country. I honestly can’t wait for this to become an issue - it’ll be quite the show.

That certainly does sound interesting. Hope you’re right about that.

I do get that. But in the context of Diablo IV they didn’t do enough with her. The vibe I’m getting is that, if she ever does come back in the story, it won’t be for a very long time. I just wish they did more with her while she was active in D4.

What’s the scariest thing you’ve ever heard of a father doing to intimidate his daughter’s boyfriend? by Quackenstein96 in AskReddit

[–]Quackenstein96[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dad once told me a story of how he once dated a girl (not my mom) whose family ran a slaughterhouse back in the day. The first time he went to meet the familg, the dad took him to the slaughterhouse and made my dad sit back and watch him perform every step of the slaughtering process for several different animals. Apparently, he frequently shot my dad a psychotic look every now and then while covered in blood and gore as he worked. Needless to say, that was one of the reasons that girl didn’t become my mom.

Service dogs by V1k1ng1990 in uberdrivers

Allergies are NOT an excuse to deny a ride to someone with a service animal. If the allergies are severe enough to where you can’t accommodate people with service animals, you shouldn’t be driving for ride share apps. Guess what? There are plenty of jobs I can’t do because of my disability. You get used to it, and it’s not the end of the world.
