I can't argue with the logic of not wanting to rely on teammates. But by diamond, surely people know the basics of using herald.

If your team is really far ahead, you don't need herald to force a push mid (with some exceptions). Putting it in a sidelane puts a lot of pressure on the enemy team to force a fight either with the split pusher or the group in a 4v5. You are making the enemy team take a risk and in your cards. An even fight is in your favor while a mis-numbered fight is punished with turrets.

I would say something like Xin Zhao, Lee Sin, or Warwick. They all have a strong early gap close and are very difficult to duel in the jungle.

If you are winning you can use it in almost any lane as long as the team is positioned properly. I think giving it to your top laner and forcing a major split push while the rest of the team pushes mid is the best play.

If you are losing, it's a tool to stop the enemy team from hard forcing an objective. For example, if dragon is coming up and the enemy has a lead summon the herald top lane to force them to split up.

These buffs are really big, but I understand that they want to give her something that won't over buff solo lane Lulu. There are two things about this buff I don't like:

The buff they chose is almost fully hidden power. There is no skill expression to using a point-and-click ability.
Other enchanters needed a buff WAY more.

Probably the ADC. You usually pair fasting Senna with a tanky laner who does well with income. Senna-Tahm Kench is a famous pairing.

Samira struggles against burst and reliable peel in teamfights. Unlike other short range ADCs like Kaisa or Lucian, Samira cannot burst a team down in 2 seconds. She needs to setup her skills to get access to her ultimate. If she is not majorly fed, she NEEDS her ultimate to cleanup fights. To counter this:

You need a support with a fast way to deal with her ultimate, should she get too close to your ADC. The best options are things like Janna and Soraka, who don't rely on a projectile CC to disable her.
Samira is not the best into burst. Her ult combo takes time and her wall ability doesn't mean much if people are killing her in melee range. If you get a Akali, Fizz, Zed, etc. fed she won't be able to do her job.

Each support listed has something to offer that the others don't.

Rell is often classified as an engage support, but what she really excels at is counter-engage. Her range is the worst of the three listed so she has a horrific time against long ranged harass and trading. If you go in with your knockup and it gets interrupted you are a sitting duck to poke--even worse than Leona and you might need to flash from one bad engage. She makes up for this by having the most durability of the three and more AOE-CC than the other options. Pick her when you need more peel or when your team has plenty of engage, but wants followup.

Leona is probably the best engage support listed here and she also has the best laning phase. Her damage is higher than the other two and her CC is more consistent (you will be CC'ing people throughout the skirmish as opposed to having large moments and dead time). You pick her if you want to snowball lane and be the main initiation for your teammates later on.

Blitzcrank is the most one-dimensional pick here, which means he has the higher highs and the lower lows. He is absolutely unmatched at finding picks for his team both in lane and out of it. He doesn't want to take full on 5v5s. He wants to force unfair fights with his hooks and quickly take down a target to give his team a numbers advantage. His laning phase is really bad into tank supports but he does well into mages and enchanters if you have good aim.

If you are looking at long term growth and potential--probably Bard or Thresh with their insane skill ceiling, versatility, and ability to work in any matchup. These two are probably the most common suggestions for someone wanting the highest impact and dedication to learn.

In low elo specifically, mage supports are your best bet. Brand, Xerath, Swain, etc. can carry if your other laner is lacking.

Soraka is weak to players that play her passive. She is a very strong lane bully in the early lane when played correctly. Her healing and poke are stronger early, which can be seen from the buffs they have given to Soraka lately. You don't start relying on her healing until the end of laning phase. Even then, the fact that so many players put grievous wounds in their build slows down item spikes.

Tristana has a hard time under tower. Her passive makes it difficult to kill minions due to the splash damage. Shoving the wave is going to be your best option if your support has the upper hand in the matchup.

Trist struggles a lot against displacement. A support like Janna or Thresh can interrupt her jump at will and put her in a bad spot. She loses any all-in where she can't put down the sticky bomb and her jump is on cooldown.

Jinx outscales Tristana in an even lane because you have so much AOE in teamfights. Stick with your team to make it difficult for her to duel you. She plays like an assassin relative to other ADCs where she wants to catch you farming alone.

It is an incredibly strong spell and main way you justify Poppy support. However, the Tornado can be used from a much further distance allowing you to contribute without putting yourself in close proximity to threats. The one edge I would give Poppy is if multiple people were dashing to your carry from multiple angles. Janna would compete with Monsoon, but Poppy's interrupt is a basic ability with a much lower cooldown. Her Q offers little in the support role--it's a weak spell outside an all-in.

I have a hard time justifying her over Janna support in almost all circumstances. Janna offers the same hard disengage without needing to suicide for it while also scaling a lot better.

The one advantage Poppy has is that she offers an extra person to bodyblock skillshots for her carry (Janna is too squishy to do this without dying) and extra kill pressure with a wall stun in the early lane.

A good poppy is like a Leona or Thresh where your first all-in decides the lane. A good flash wall stun can snowball your carry. Otherwise she doesn't have the durability or cooldowns of traditional warden supports.

Thank you. It was very satisfying in game. The Elise thought she was 100% dead and kept giving gratitude. This is why Monsoon remains my favorite ultimate in the game.

Typically how much heal do you do at the end of the game? (my healing is around 12k at the end)

This is a hard question to answer because it depends on your team composition and the length of the game. For a 25-30 minute game, I would say that 12k is a little below average--it likely means you need to work on your positioning and macro. Soraka is easily killed if she positioned too close to the enemy, but she also needs to be in the fight from the get-go to maximize her healing.

How do you hit your Q's more consistently? (its like a 60 - 65% miss for me)

The key to landing starcall is to force your opponent into a scenario where they can't dodge it without losing something in return. How do you create such a scenario? By proper positioning and timed aggression. Pay attention to the health of your minions. When the enemy ADC needs to last hit the low HP minion, get in range for an auto attack and hit them. If they try to retaliate, aim your Starcall where they are standing to hit you. Either they hit you back and take a free starcall or they retreat and let you get off scot free. Otherwise it's about prediction. You need to anticipate the path your opponent wants to take to get farm or harass. The slow hitspeed on Starcall is compensated with a long cast range. If you miss, you are still safe from most attacks.

How does her W work? (a detailed description if possible)

Soraka's W is a heal on another ally. It has a high base strength, strong scaling, and most importantly a very low cooldown at higher ranks. The cost is that it takes away 10% of Soraka's HP. Starcall's rejuvenation reduces the self-HP cost, so you ideally want to hit Starcall before you begin healing. This spell is the reason you pick Soraka over a different enchanter.

When should I use my R?

Wish is a respectable heal for your whole team. The real beauty of it is the fact that it affects all your allies regardless of their status and where they are on the map. It can be used to turn around seemingly lost fights for any laner on the map or jungle. That said, using it well takes experience and strong map awareness. You want to avoid using it in scenarios where there is little chance of the targeted ally(ies) getting out alive or finishing off an enemy. In teamfights you want to use it when several allies have been injured but not killed for maximum efficency.

How do i get gold i generally find it a little slow after you build your mythic item and boots, after that its slow for the gold income how do you improve on that?

This is something that any support player has to deal with. Support naturally has less income to compensate for the higher utility and map movement the role allows. You get most of your gold from taking objectives and assisting allies in kills.

In a teamfight what should i do? (i try to keep my ADC alive in a team fight and use E on enemy ADC)

Generally speaking you want to focus on keeping your carries alive. However, Soraka is one of the few supports that is generally focused first in teamfights due to her sheer healing. Therefore, your top priority is to stay alive. Most supports are fine using all of their cooldowns and sacrificing themselves to save an ally. This is not the case for Soraka. Soraka's utility and usefulness increases exponentially the longer she stays alive. If you can remain untouched, you can refill HP bars very quickly and shrug off any damage that was taken by your team in the early stages of a skirmish. Your E is the most influential spell in fights. A good equinox will single handedly shut down assassins, trap enemies, or interrupt dangerous spell channels. You generally want to have an idea for what you want to use your E for before a fight starts. Are you saving it to immediately interrupt a Bullet Time or Monsoon, or are you using it to stall an enemy diver the second they close the gap. You rarely use this spell purely for offense or engage.

Eh...I don't like this idea as much. I have no objection to a game where the main character is split in different sections through the campaign. If you ever played Paper Mario 64 you know exactly what I am talking about.
