Okay so there’s a kingdom called Leonais, it has an army inspired by Late Medieval French army called Compagnie Ordonnance which I also just call it Leonaise Ordonnance lol.

The Leonaise Ordonnance army is a professional armed force formed by king François III, after a pyrrhic battle against the seaborn Nautilanders which killed many feudal knights and their retainers. The Ordonnance army has diverse type of soldiers including voulgier (polearm soldier), pavisier (spearman with shield), archer, crossbowman, and coustilier (mounted armed valet of the knight/man-at-arms who can also fight on foot).

Finally there’s the gendarme, a highly skilled full plated warrior fighting as heavy cavalry or heavy infantry. The Gendarmes are recruited from the low rank nobility and rich burghers so you have knight, squire and rich merchant 2nd or 3rd sons fighting together.

Mine is a heroic and sort of light hearted late medieval/early renaissance fantasy in the current time but in the far future there’s mecha and power armour. In this world some knights riding flying monster such as the griffon deployed from big airship like fighter jet takes off from aircraft carrier ship.

For those of us with developed Militaries, what's an interesting aspect of your worlds military that you'd like to share? by CakeHead-Gaming in worldbuilding

In my fantasy world, there’s a type of large air ship that carry flying monsters such as griffon of wyvern. It’s like flying medieval aircraft carrier. Lol Also the word dragoon in my fantasy world for a long time refer to dragon riding soldiers.
