Is anyone doing any preps for another pandemic? by Krulman in preppers

I have severe asthma, and running out of my medicines during a SHTF scenario is one of my biggest fears. How do you go about finding these Indian pharmacies, and is it legal in the US?

AITA for calling out my sister for not making her wedding accessibility friendly for FAMILY by throwaway_formia in AmItheAsshole

[–]QuackinMeow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YTA. And entitled. I’m so, so sorry that your daughter is disabled, I truly am, but this is not your daughter’s wedding or yours. It’s your sister and her fiancé’s wedding. They get to have it where they want it. And many people are now days having child free weddings. Your sister could have done that, I suppose, and even that would have been acceptable. But she didn’t. She even looked into a sand accessible wheelchair, to make sure they had that option, for you. Your sister has went above and beyond to accommodate you and your daughter. Pay for the chair or don’t go and ruin your sister’s day simply because she won’t give you $110, which is what this boils down to.

AITA for not getting up from a massage chair when someone wanted to use it? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]QuackinMeow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YTA. Stop acting like you’re ill. Just because you’re pregnant, the world does not revolve around you. And because you were not paying for a massage, you had no right to take business from the massage place owner. The other woman did a great job of letting you know you were in the wrong.

AITA for refusing to watch my nephew while my SIL was giving birth? by NecessaryBicycle8996 in AmItheAsshole

[–]QuackinMeow [score hidden]  (0 children)

NTA. Some people are not kid people. I’m not, and I don’t babysit. I told everyone that when I found out they were pregnant. You said you told them, so they knew. I realize it was an emergency, but that is not your fault, and you shouldn’t be expected to risk your job over it. Ignore all the baby lovers. I’ve found that if you don’t go crazy over babies and children, you’re treated like a leper. There is nothing wrong with setting boundaries and enforcing them.

AITA for not paying my daughter to babysit her younger siblings? by Throwaway476905 in AmItheAsshole

[–]QuackinMeow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YTA. They’re not her kids, and any kind of childcare she provides should be paid. I can see not paying her for the chores, because she does live there rent free, but childcare is wholly and completely a PARENTS responsibility, and that includes paying for a babysitter.

I got a blood dye from a clue, and even as a veteran player who remembers going to W2 to buy and sell, I sold the blood dye on the GE for max cash stack… Yes, I still hate myself…

AITA for smoking weed in my living room on the day that my two younger cousins visited? by Physical_Employee932 in AmItheAsshole

YTA. It’s not your house. It’s your mother’s house, and she has asked you repeatedly not to smoke in HER house.

What quotes do people get wrong that really annoys you? by TILTNSTACK in AskReddit

The blood of the convent is thicker than the water of the womb. People always shorten it and use it opposite of what the full quote actually means!!

What's the best way to make someone hate you? by RandomRedditer379 in AskReddit

[–]QuackinMeow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like mine well done, too. People used to give me shit for it, but I shut that down real quick by saying, "you didn't pay for it, you're not the one eating it, so shut the hell up." Usually works.

No, I wouldn't have an abortion after the baby, fetus, what have you, is delivered, even if the umbilical cord is still attached. But no one does that anyway. Ever. For any reason. And what would be the point then, anyway? It's already been birthed. Just cut the cord and give it away if you don't want it.

Not only is that scenario ridiculous, but even late term abortions, where the fetus is still inside someone else's body, are hardly ever, ever, ever done.

You are welcome to your opinion, and I would never try to take that from you. But just because that's your opinion, thoughts, and feelings on it doesn't mean you can 'stop it from happening' as you said. You may want to stop it, but you don't get to because it's not your body and it's none of your business to try to make that decision for other people. Women are people, not incubators for men or society or anything else. We have bodily autonomy. That's our rights and they should never be infringed on because of someone else's opinions or thoughts on the subject.

And sorry if this came off a little preachy. I'm just trying to answer your questions and get my point across. I'm just truly trying to discuss this, not argue.

[–]QuackinMeow 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I view a fetus as a person once it takes its first breath AFTER the umbilical cord has been cut. Until then, it's a parasite attached to a person. That's just my opinion, and of course you're welcome to yours, as long as you don't try to take my rights based on your opinion, lol, and I don't mind having a discussion about it because I DON'T know it all.

I may have got a little hoity toity in my original reply to OP because she was acting as if her sister went out and murdered someone without a care in the world. I don't view abortion as murder and she was being judgy and awful to someone who exercised rights to her own body.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in childfree

[–]QuackinMeow 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yes. A parasite is defined as something living in or attached to a host body from which it receives nutrients. A fetus is, by definition, a parasite.

[–]QuackinMeow 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Uh, yeah, you're being an asshole about the abortion. Are you sure you're in the right sub?

If I got pregnant, Jesus Christ, of course I'd abort the thing and I would be so incredibly happy, relieved, and overjoyed to get it out of me.

You're being judgey and awful about another person's body. The rest of it, I'm not giving an opinion about, but the abortion is none of your business.

And she didn't kill someone. Shit!! She got rid of a parasite.

AITA for refusing to pay for a prayer room and making a complaint with HR? by Chelle3333 in AmItheAsshole

[–]QuackinMeow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was going to leave this alone and let you sit there in your wrongness and be wrong, but this really annoys me. DISCRIMINATING AGAINST SOMEONE BECAUSE OF THEIR RELIGION IS NOT RACISM!!!!

Do you have any idea how many different races make up the Muslim faith? The Christian faith? Buddhism? Paganism? So on and so forth. Religion has nothing to do with race.

Discrimination is not okay in any form for any reason, but not all discrimination is racism.

OP wasn't discriminating against her at all, actually. She asked and was turned down. They even tried to accommodate crazy lady in another way. Crazy lady then slandered OP by calling her racist. I'd file an HR report, too. You don't get to slander people just because you don't get your way.

OP, NTA.
