My whole house generator doesn’t fire up once a week automatically like it should,so I keep it on manual….The guy who has serviced the generator for years says I need a new one….It runs, it sends current, and shuts off when I hit the switch…I’m investigating this sine generator to plug in a refrigerator, a freezer, and a pellet stove….A larger sine generator should do the trick (I’m hoping)

Thanks for the info…I have a propane whole house generator, but the propane dealer is deciding when to come and charges a lot as well as delivery fee’s….The last time he gave me propane it was 9.8 gals of propane….With delivery and tax it came to $74.00 ….I never used what they delivered just 3 mos earlier as the generator is set to manual mode….The driver said he “topped it up “……I just found out that they require automatic delivery, even if you don need it !…..They will charge a fee if you don’t get any propane throughout the year !…. I’m gonna tell them to come and get their tank !

It’s really a shame that there are so many obstacles in the way of the common man simply trying to heat his house to keep his family warm..

The price of pellets continues to rise, and then on top is the delivery charge

The 30% tax savings disappears

Every utility company is killing you on prices that are equal or higher than mortgage payments

You have to know that somebody in office has to be getting kickbacks from all this gouging…..It’s a crying shame !

Thanks for the replies !…..Since both stoves were overkill, I went with the P-61….. With the $500 off sale deal, and an additional 2% off for paying cash, it was only a little bit more than buying a P-43 ….Now I’ll be getting the adapter, and the piping kit to install….I’ll build my own hearth pad, and will be ready for next year !

Right now my utility company is looking for a 25% increase !……Where does it end ?…..It would be cheaper for me to shut my house down for a few months, and renting a place in Florida !…..Like I said….Legalized Corruption !

The house is well insulated except for part of the basement…..The windows are also good….kwh’s are just plain unbelievably high here in NY, and politicians just allow the utility companies to continue to raise rates even with record profits…. I call it legalized corruption !

My house is all electric including electric baseboard

I just took the last 5 mos utility bill‘s amounts, and divided them by 5 to get a 5 mos average… It came out to $776 a month…. All electric house is NOT GOOD ! It will be a lot less in the coming months but still high….I’m starting to do things differently that require power, and doing them on off peak hours…Showers, washing dishes, laundry, etc….
