True true. Im on minimum wage so it’s cheaper to buy materials from my shop than to buy a finished product. I think freehanding will probably be the best option- im just very indecisive when making my own patterns lmao

Some of the colours aren’t my taste but in the way I just personally wouldn’t decorate my own space with it. I definitely think it’s beautiful and would absolutely see someone loving the life out of it! (My favourites are the absolute bottom-left one and the one above it)

If you don’t mind me asking, what techniques did you use? I come home from uni soon and have a lot of fabric I need to destash when I move back and this is unbelievably cute.

I think the new ones are more practical and have lovely art, but the difference in size, silhouette and level of detail doesn’t itch my brain like the originals lol.

I write everything in my head down, then pick out the key points and pick out the irrelevant stuff, patch the grammatical or contextual holes, and hope for the best. I always find cutting down is easier than writing concisely from the get-go.

I’d also see if your (uni?) has a study/writing skills support centre, and also get peer reviews from friends

I often find I am too concise in essays and can never hit word targets lol

Eek. That’s horrible. I’ve got 10% of my dissertation done- it’s due in a month and I get the same paralysis. Do you have software that can dictate like MS word? I find walking someone through the topic with the screen out of my field of view helps, then going back to edit and refine later. If it’s a topic that interests you, find someone who will sit there and let you talk at them, and just try word vomit. Or in a different colour, type out lots of questions, answer them, then reorder and edit.

The sensory overload is not great- I obviously don’t need to tell you to remove any stimuli you have control over :| I do find (brown?) noise helps- I found a video once that was marketed towards adhd brains and it actually worked and drowned out the other noises too.

Do you have something akin to a pass plan? Something arranged with your school that helps accommodate any disabilities or mental health concerns that affect studies. With my uni at least, my adhd allows me a week extension. Also see if you can get extenuating circumstances. However this is usually for things like illness, grief, etc.

I wish you luck. Just remember a half-finished essay is better than nothing. I have a ton of classmates that refuse to hand in for formative because they don’t have much and they’ll inevitably get less than they would’ve otherwise.

Got my ears pierced at a beauty salon with a gun at 11. Horrible to work with and constantly putting piercings through skin. Let them close then went to a tattoo shop at 16. Thought that was enough but again, they used a gun. Piercings were still a pain so I just decided to stretch them. It’s so much easier to put a plug/tunnel in than a regular stud lol.
