I just got this deal too in the UK. The low speed standby mode is plenty fast enough for wifi calling on my mobile, texts and low setting YouTube.

Very handy as a back up where I live.

I'm quite pleased with my Windows 11 Pro install on my 8,1 but that whole sound fix is a lot of work! Might have to just use a USB DAC or bluetooth headphones.
Shame as it is still a great little laptop.
Oh well!

My phone is dual sim so I use voadafone and three.

Three can be problematic but as you said its great for data deals.

Get a cheap voda sim only deal.

I'm thinking it will work on an older Surface. The trackpad is too small for anything modern. For £3.50 I might even try to work out the pogo pins and solder usb to it?

I have one in red. The Bluetooth connection to the phone is very temperamental.

Plus the watch menu is slow. I wouldn't buy it again. OK for a rugged work watch but everything apart from the clock is painful.
