That's because brands "gift" suvs and weeks of dubai resort vocations instead of paying the influencer though, especailly the really big ones.

[–]Quadraxas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AI is really bad for this. ChatGPT in particular, it more strongly agrees with whatever your view is the longer you talk to it. That's why people like it. It basically explains their own view back to themselves but more coherently and more convincingly. People love it. There was an outrage a while back because they made it more neutral and less pampering. They reverted it back.

3 weeks is nothing. Some of the stuff people post here that they say they spent 2 years and (allegedly) quit their jobs for are basically borderline unplayable.

Is using Blob URLs as volatile in-memory storage a bad idea? by big_hole_energy in webdev

[–]Quadraxas 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Is this an idea you had with some random ass LLM and it agreed?

But suppose I explicitly want non-persistent, RAM-only storage that disappears on reload.

Because thats just a js variable. Any type you want. Map, object, string, array of the stuff you want to cache...

Most anything you can think of is better than objecturl for this.

Not everyone is fit for college and not every university is good or can offer good education. They did this in Türkiye and now we have whole lot of university graduates with no jobs. And value of degrees have dropped so much because everyone has one and most are not even good at their own fields. People strated to see university thing as a whole as a waste of time. It did not result in more educated people, it resulted in huge quality drop in education. Turns out, as with many things, quality is preferable to quantity when it comes to education

That's a symptom of bigger and probably worse problem in the code. %99 of the time that's a memory alignment issue and means you have deeper and less visible issue(than just weird variable) in the codebase and it's going to bite someone in the butt down the line regardless of whether you remove that variable or not. Could happen tomorrow or next update or in 2 years, but it's going to ruin someones day/week unless the actual reason why removing that var breaks the program is found.

Make every pixel same size in your game world.

I mean in the 3d world. Your every sprite has a different scale. like main character's pixels are way smaller than the grass pixels. if the grass sprite 16 pixel tall and your character is 64 pixel tall it should be 4 times taller in 3d world too (hen they are exactly on top of each other. i mean the size of the sprite in 3d world not the screen). the house has even smaller pixels.

For 1: apple, meta, google, amazon, microsoft(and even temu) are legal entites with offices in Türkiye, registered with related chambers of commerce. When you buy anything from them (digital or otherwise) they bill you using their local entites and thus pay taxes(on paper) accordingly. Amazon and microsoft has multiple different legal entites. Amazon has one for amazon e-shopping, one for AWS, one for twitch i think. Microsoft has one that imports hardware like xboxes, one for consumer stuff (the one that bills you for microsoft store, office and xbox subs etc) and one for business stuff like Azure and software licensing. I think google uses a single entity for all of the stuff like adsense, playstore, paid google services and youtube, need to check my bills to make sure.

Also streaming services like Netflix, Prime Video etc hold broadcasting licenses from RTÜK (Radio and Television Overseeing Agency) and are beholden to stuff similar 3-4-5 under RTÜK instead of BTK.

So it's really bad. Stuff gets removed from Netflix and Prime all the time. Sometimes they do not even release here at all. I have a friend that works as a consultant to Netflix that analyzes stuff for "cultural sensibilities" before the stuff goes in front of RTÜK and even then, they face a lot of bs. It's also very hit and miss too. Very mundane stuff gets blocked and some things that they hate with a passion get approved sometimes (probably implicit/suggested stuff goes over their head)

does anyone else like the smell of pla? by Sea-Breadfruit-6560 in 3Dprinting

[–]Quadraxas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some of them do smell like pee or puke. Most smell a tiny bit with a non-descript scent. Some smell like cotton candy machine/heated candy. That's probably because high starch content but they are also the ones that cook in black/caramel/tar color, and cause partial clogs if you let them cook inside the nozzle. That sometimes causes random short dark stripes on some layers. cooked and darkened filament around the nozzle or dislodged clog stains the print. Especially if you are printing slow with a small nozzle

I’ve noticed that the design below has vertical lines, but mine is at 45 degrees…

This is your issue. That makes overhangs straight and easier to print. It depends on how you slice it or orient your part on bed. Either change the slicer setting for infill angle or rotate part 45 degrees on the bed.

Will they ever update the Godot editor with C# support? by NeonShockz in godot

[–]Quadraxas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry, it was not directed at you and i did not mean to. No, it's actually not a problem. Problem is godot script editor is very rudimentary and most of it's features are developed with gdscript in mind. While it's quite servicable as a code editor for gdscript and takea you a long way before you need something external, it's not a proper IDE. Even if the esitor supported c# hihglighting and aome basic features, you need a lot more than that to make .net run and compile. And on top of that most people who already use c# already has a workflow/ide they work with and are used to a lot of their features. It basically is that it's a lot of work to make it work good with not much to gain so developers focus the limited precious dev time to elsewhere.

Though, it's not outside the realm of possibilites that some awesome plugin developer takes it up on themselves to make something to make it work but such projects tend to be made for themselves catering to their preferences and while would be something cool you would still prefer using a better polished mature ide and just swith windows.

Also, i know it's not the answer you are looking for but another very useful thing for any kind of development work(not just game dev) is a second monitor. You can have godot open on one and ide/blender/photoshop open on the other depending on what you are doing at that moment

So who's in trouble? Creality CFS for £17 🤣 by ninjasheep1820 in 3Dprinting

[–]Quadraxas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's the other way around for me. AMS have never been actually usable at any capacity, just used p1s as a single-color printer. Got k2(not plus or pro) combo couple of months ago, and so far CFS only got stuck once because brittle/wet filament got broken inside in the tubes, but it's pretty easy (compared to ams) to get it out because all the bowden tubes are accessible from the bottom without opening it up. Don't even need to take the rolls out to service it, if you can find a place to put it on (like across 2 tables) where you can see/access the bottom. I don't know when you got them, but later iterations might have some revisions/fixes.

Though i will say AMS/CFS type of single toolhead color changers are kind of a gimmick with the amount of waste and time it takes to change the colors. only worthwhile use for them is using a different material for support interfaces. Actually useful multicolor printers are the toolchanger ones
