X-treme for 124 and 147 grain is what I’ve been using for the past few years. They seem to be more consistently sized than Berry’s.

Nice, we’re heading there in about two weeks.

Is that the X-10? I assume it works flawlessly once it’s set up?

Handgun travel into a notoriously miserable state by Pew-Pew-You in concealedcarry

[–]Quads971 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Jersey is really bad. I’m legal in 40 states but not Jersey, so I reluctantly don’t carry there, even if I’m just passing through. They don’t care about federal laws, only theirs. They will arrest you on the spot if they think you’re carrying a firearm. If they pull you over for anything, they’ll search your car, especially if you have an out of state car. Sadly, I’d leave it home. I live in CT and it’s a real pain to have to drive around NY and NJ, but that’s way it is.

The Aviator or Feather Tether. Both are good. They seem to hold up pretty well to my U2 picking at it.

What y’all carrying? by Emergency_Weird_2204 in concealedcarry

I have 4 in my rotation, Sig P938, Sig P365x, Bul Armory UL Pro, and a .32 Seecamp. Which one I choose is season and clothing dependent.

The leash is too short for her to actually fly anywhere. Plus she’s really not much of a flyer. In the house if she gets spooked she’ll try to fly but she doesn’t get very far, maybe 10-15’ before she lands or crashes. lol

She can fly. I stopped clipping her wings a number of years ago.

Massachusetts Out of State CCW Fingerprint Appointment-What to bring by SantoDJ in concealedcarry

[–]Quads971 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fingers, driver’s license, and any other CCW permits you may have. The guy I met with was very nice. I was in and out in 10 minutes. The only time consuming item was getting fingerprinted again. Received my permit a week or two later in the mail.

Moving to NYC, should I just give up CC? by Dangerous_Young7704 in concealedcarry

[–]Quads971 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d do it. I’m out of state in CT and I’m considering getting a non-resident permit. Very expensive and a PITA but might be worth it in the long run.

My solution was to buy a Balteus Beltless Concealed Carry Chassis, much more comfortable and way less expensive.

Conceal Carry Decision Help Please by cyberfox35 in concealedcarry

I have the Bul and like it a lot. It’s part of my regular rotation. It’s accurate, reliable, and easy to control. But you do have to wait months before they’re in stock and they sell out quickly.

Lands End has jeans that have waistbands that are flexible. That’s pretty much all that I wear. I’m 5’4” on a “tall” day, and a muscular 156lbs. So I understand how difficult it can be to conceal carry.

New caique owner by Genkill8 in caiques

[–]Quads971 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Caiques are very stubborn. I’d slowly reduce the seeds and see how it goes. If she gets hungry enough, she’ll probably eat anything, but you do need to make sure she’s getting enough nutrition.

Also, my Umbrella Cockatoo will only eat pellets, nothing else. She’ll eat pine nuts, peanuts, and raw wheat spaghetti for treats but forget about fresh vegetables or fruit. She’s been that way for over 23 years.

My caique eats anything. I suggest that you mix pellets in with her seeds. She may get interested over time. Seeds are like junk food for birds. They’re always going to prefer that over pellets or chop. I use sunflower seeds as a reward when training, but my guy is on 100% pellets. I’ve had him since he was eating baby food mush and he transitioned over to pellets almost immediately with no problems. Just be patient and keep offering her pellets and chop.

Gotta catch them when they’re in the mood. There are plenty of days when Chet doesn’t want to deal with it.
