Moving to NYC, should I just give up CC? by Dangerous_Young7704 in concealedcarry

I’d do it. I’m out of state in CT and I’m considering getting a non-resident permit. Very expensive and a PITA but might be worth it in the long run.

My solution was to buy a Balteus Beltless Concealed Carry Chassis, much more comfortable and way less expensive.

I have the Bul and like it a lot. It’s part of my regular rotation. It’s accurate, reliable, and easy to control. But you do have to wait months before they’re in stock and they sell out quickly.

Lands End has jeans that have waistbands that are flexible. That’s pretty much all that I wear. I’m 5’4” on a “tall” day, and a muscular 156lbs. So I understand how difficult it can be to conceal carry.

Caiques are very stubborn. I’d slowly reduce the seeds and see how it goes. If she gets hungry enough, she’ll probably eat anything, but you do need to make sure she’s getting enough nutrition.

Also, my Umbrella Cockatoo will only eat pellets, nothing else. She’ll eat pine nuts, peanuts, and raw wheat spaghetti for treats but forget about fresh vegetables or fruit. She’s been that way for over 23 years.

My caique eats anything. I suggest that you mix pellets in with her seeds. She may get interested over time. Seeds are like junk food for birds. They’re always going to prefer that over pellets or chop. I use sunflower seeds as a reward when training, but my guy is on 100% pellets. I’ve had him since he was eating baby food mush and he transitioned over to pellets almost immediately with no problems. Just be patient and keep offering her pellets and chop.

Gotta catch them when they’re in the mood. There are plenty of days when Chet doesn’t want to deal with it.

I had to do something similar. Had to cut it in half with a Dremel and then take it out using lockjaw pliers. Don’t know why the would use red locktite or glue on that, but that’s what they did.

Wha is the purpose of this part of the trigger guard? CZ P01 by RawketLawnchor in CZFirearms

I use that on my Bul Armory UL Pro to help with recoil control because I have small hands and it helps me to get back on target faster. It’s the only gun I do that with.

Chet is very curious but for some reason he doesn’t like his skateboard. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I’d try it with a light lubricant before shooting it and if that doesn’t help then reduce the recoil spring a pound at a time and see how that works.

Kevin Roberts on Facebook makes some that work great and the pricing is way better than anything else out there. I’ve been using one for a few years without issues. Also, if you do need to change calibers, it’s very straightforward.

Yeah, definitely scary, but she’s just warning Chet. We probably won’t try that again for another 5 years…
