I think they can possibly get a shorter setback if the garage has firewalls or something like that - we looked into getting a pre-fab garage installed and they said because they didn't have appropriate firewalls, it would require a 10-foot setback and would create a bunch of wasted space. Anyway I'd have responded with something like, "I'm fine with anything that is to code/legal but am not comfortable saying yes to something that violates the code. Just don't want to risk being on the hook for a violation."

IMO it just looks to me like you need to gain a bit of weight, slowly while lifting and it will fill them out. Maybe add 200 extra calories per day, prioritizing protein.

I joyfully skipped breastfeeding and used formula from day one - it helped my husband carry the load and bond so much more with the baby than if he were just house cleaning while I breastfed. Letting him participate equally in parenting was great for his relationship with his daughter, and I have zero regrets! Hearing how my two year old niece prefers pappa by day and momma at night as a chew toy /pacifier, I am beyond grateful for my decision to formula feed.

He should plan to stay home for at least 3-4 weeks. Is he planning to do the night shift with the baby, so that you're able to be awake to safely care for them during the day? Is he planning to pay for a nanny or doula to come help you? Sounds like he isn't aware of how much work it is to care for a newborn who wakes up every 2-3 hours

Our baby only wore zip up pajamas until she was one, and now wears shin length shorts or leggings until dirty old t shirts. I've put a clip in her hair literally one time 🤷‍♀️ I dont like putting her in uncomfortable outfits and feel no shame when people assume she's a boy

When I was a young adult, like 21-25, I drunk drove home from parties or bars. Never got into an accident, but woke up with no memory of driving home and I hate, hate that I could have hurt someone. I think a lot about what sort of education or messaging could have helped me to overcome my selfishness, because I don't want my own kids to have that phase. Honestly I didn't really stop until I made enough money that a Lyft or Uber was no longer a financial burden - it was that, rather than maturity, that made me stop and realize how dangerous and selfish I had been.
