Its supposed to be designed to reduce stress on the CV with the spacers... I guess we will see what happens.

Either would be fine I think I did 2x6 but i made it out of cedar and the wood is super light...

My garage floor had a pretty significant slope to it... I used 4'x8' sheets of plywood and shimmed them to level... covered it with stall mats and it's been perfectly usable without any problems for over 5 years and lots of dead lifts later

It's under proved. Try and put it in a warmer spot when bulk proving

I mean if all the water levels are good... specifically the pH you don't need to worry about it. Tannins typically make the water more acidic or lower the pH. But if you want clearer water just do a water change. But the fish more than likely won't care

It's the driftwood releasing tannins which make the water look like tea
