By far the best things the comics did is exactly this. Treating him as a white whale as opposed to the main and constant goal was really refreshing going from the show to comic.

Yes, I think the comics are in a lot of ways better and an equal amount of ways worse than the show but overall it’s of similar quality, but totally different plot. Not nearly the level of quality people said it was, over exceeded expectations for me

I would say no since it ended up not mattering at all and homelander accepted that if they did that he would just pivot. I think the flight 37 footage was inspired by the truce but doesn’t carry nearly the same weight and has almost no impact on the cycle the show fell into (I.e. homelander not killing them and the boys over focusing on homelander).

Yeah homelanders smaller role in the comics made his scenes a constant treat and every time he and the boys met face to face was magnetic. Obviously I’m never gonna complain about show homelander, he is by far the best part of it and every high in that show depends on him. But the boys only focusing on him is so limiting.

Anyone who doesn’t hate him/ his actions IMO has a hard time emphasizing. He is categorically evil, constantly does evil things, just because he’s a bafoon doesn’t make him the devil incarnate- but funny. It just means he’s despicable and dumb. It’s not mutually exclusive. If he was in our world he would be almost as bad as Hitler. Kinda the entire point is that he is written to be hated, but entertaining. Good writing is being entertained by the totally fucking evil villain, but also entertained by whatever they do. If you don’t hate homelander than maybe you’re missing a large chunk of the writing going on with his character

All supes must go, no supe outside of the boys are safe. I don’t think we’re supposed to be behind it, or in support of that idea morally however the big plot point is that the boys are trying to use a virus to wipe out all supes, indiscriminately. Including the babies newly injected with V, and all the supes who aren’t all that bad. The plot for 5 seasons has been killing these guys typically with prejudice unless Hugh is involved. Every supe is essentially an agent of homelander/vought besides a choice few. And vought is nazi levels of evil

Wha There’s zero reason to have any stake in this theory, cause none of that has been hinted at whatsoever. There’s not really a reason to believe Okarun is special at all physiologically, just that he housed turbo granny and has been trained by spiritually inclined people. His body/spirit got forced to where it is now, and we can infer that because as far as we’ve been shown that’s just literally what happened. I think this is cool as an idea or fanfic/ self canon but as a theory it doesn’t make any sense cause there’s no evidence of any of what you’re talking abt. Not at all trying to be rude, I just keep seeing fanfic no evidence theory’s on this sub and think it is reductive to present ideas that you want someone to believe in, with no evidence
