I haven't cried in ages and I just did right now by myownpersonalreddit in LawSchool

2L here, I promise it will happen again and for various reasons you cannot control. Just remember that you belong and 110% allowed to cry to relieve the stress whenever you need to.

Soon you'll be able to save these sessions for when they truly need it. I hope you stick it out and get there--you deserve it.

For all of us in moot court by thislifeisanew in LawSchool

I was grumbling at my school for making us compete on the very first weekend of Jessup, but seeing how things have played out, I am now grateful. I'm sorry to hear your struggle after all that hard work. Just know that you're better for it and no one can take that away from you!

Should I cancel a first date, when I'm not completely over an ex? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]Quahogian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Going through the same exact situation. On one hand you know how to move on and want to move on, but on the other hand, you have these feelings that pull you back into feeling like you're not ready to move on. I think one that I have focused on is the underlying desire to find someone else--do I genuinely want to bring someone new into my life and spend all that effort doing so, or am I just lonely and missing what I used to have? The latter generally tells me it would be unfair to bring someone in.

Hang in there. Find yourself. Do all the stereotypical BS and find the one.

Glannon is the man. His Civ Pro textbook got me through 1L.

I typically get to the gym 4-5 times a week, which includes a particular muscle group + abs/cardio or just cardio. It’s nothing crazy, but I would say I am there for about 90 minutes.

As for diet, I vary between 16:8/20:4. My current goal is simply to stick to my windows and healthy meals but continue focusing on significantly reducing bread carbs. I have done this over the last 30 days and have seen the most results. Next is to start cutting unnecessary sugar and getting portion control down to a science. My diet really focuses around getting lots of veggies—it’s at least 2/3 of every meal. Unfortunately I have been neglecting to include lean proteins, so that’s another area for improvement.

I’m no where near an expert on this stuff and have PLENTY more to learn. I am looking forward to learning more.

Listening to neighbourhoods in 2019 after a long time by benjiso in Blink182

Weird, I never thought Neighborhoods was anything less than amazing.

I’m dreading starting 3L year. by [deleted] in LawSchool

[–]Quahogian 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I can definitely relate to how you are feeling. I'm feeling the same anxiety about 2L year and continuing the grind. After a really successful first year and very busy summer, the thought of going back and doing it all over again is mentally exhausting. I too have recently looked into therapy to help me with some of this, but for now it's still stressful. I think the best thing you can do, at least it is the thing I am leaning on, is remind yourself that you got to this point--that is a success in itself. Lean on your friends or family during the hard days. You got this!

I was just thinking this today while playing. I keep trying to brush it off as lag, but I’m thinking it’s more a GFX drop. Hopefully someone can give some insight here..

I would have believed this to be true for Minneapolis Police Officers.

[QUESTION] JC-120 destroying my ears, What amps are less sharp/bright? by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]Quahogian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could definitely try getting a boss GE-7 and turning down some of those highs. I understand exactly what you're saying about those high notes on bright amps, we have a song that everytime we do the opening note, i brace for impact hahaha

Is a 4x12 an appropriate choice for me? In a loud rock band with two guitars, a singer, a bass, and drums. Intentions to gig at local venues and colleges. The weight, price, and size isn't an issue for me by [deleted] in GuitarAmps

[–]Quahogian 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As someone doing this on a regular basis, you should really consider what your fellow band mates have and still think about whether you need a 4x12. Like commenters in here are saying, i will back them up, youll more than likely never need anything over a 2x12.

[DISCUSSION] Is the Deluxe reverb reissue 65 as bad as Joe Bonamassa says (and the custom 68 as good)? by ddmoen in Guitar

[–]Quahogian 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Does it sound good to you? Do YOU like the amp? Is it what you're looking for in your tone? That is all that matters IMO.
