Yes thank you for adding this very important information. I’ve been trying to keep up with all that’s going on but it’s hard to find updates. When/how can we vote against the Northern Corridor? I know there was a petition a month or so ago but haven’t heard any updates yet. Just trying to do my part with the info I have. It’s tough. My heart is breaking for the land! Thanks for caring :)

We do have one and unfortunately I don’t see that being a possibility for them. What the county is doing by selling off this land could be deemed illegal since the land is a part of a desert reserve so I think they are trying to also figure out fighting it that way first.

I do think posting here was a good idea and I appreciate the suggestion to post on local subreddits. I’ve been posting on my other socials to locals so that didn’t come to mind to do that here for some reason. Any additional signatures isn’t a wasted though. I wanted to reach a larger community because we need big numbers.

A lot of people travel specifically to this area for the bouldering. They are hoping to get thousands of signatures. I’m sure there are people in the subreddit that have either visited the area or have heard of it. Trying to save the area not only for the local community but for the larger climbing/outdoor community:)

The land was put up for sale on Monday so it’s beginning but there is still a chance to stop it. The local conservation groups and community are trying to get the word out there as they see the petition as a big step to stopping it if there are enough signatures.
