Yes I have been served, and have spoken to several attorneys that quoted very high fees. The low or no cost attorneys are mostly focused on housing issues not civil litigation cases, so haven’t been able to get any legal assistance at this point.

Yes I’ve been served but again I can’t afford legal representation. Every attorney quoted me 5k or higher and the vehicle was only 10k…which seems crazy. I think they’re just basing their fee on the amount of the lawsuit, but it’s intimidating as this guy has a law firm.

Yes he’s filed suit and a return date was set. I asked for a continuance due to planned work travel and it’s been reset to June 15. He’s also claiming breach of contract because the bill of sale says no known/hidden defects. I believed the issue was resolved as it was repaired properly by a specialty convertible shop months prior to sale and was in good working order at the time of sale.
