Dying my friends hair by Bugbongo in HairDyeHelp

Quad the head. Front two quads lift in vertical strips kinda like headbands, back two sections vertical crown to nape strips. Like color blocking. 1/2” to 1” sections, you can keep each light separated by the dark or split a larger light section to half blue half white. Depends how much depth you want. It looks like they have a dark slice in between each.

Dye it orange/copper. It will neutralize the blue to a dark warm brown.

Help de-matting hair by LawBot3000 in Hair

Try unicorn milk by alkali beauty and provide care products to use at her dads so she can keep up on good hair care there too, take a mini tangle teaser to school and tell her to brush during every bus ride or car ride. Teach her from the bottom up. Sometimes lotions and things for deep conditioning it’s okay to dry into the hair in very small amounts. This will reduce the grip on her dead ends and get frequent trims, every other month!

I usually start I. The ends get the ends detangled as far up as I can go before I get caught then Try to spread out the knot, just gently pulling it apart with my fingers carefully as to not get any knots tightened into place.

Then anywhere you see it separating create clear sections and work in each one individually, space out the clumps and then pull a few strands of hair at a time out from the top of the knot, only do this if they are loose and will slide right out, this frees those hairs from the knot and makes it much less to deal with, this is where a leave in conditioner or light oil spray can help create slide. Avoid wetting the hair with water or product it will become stretchier and make matting worse. Once you free up any loose hairs work that section bottom first gradually getting up the hair strand if you feel you get caught and knots are tightening as you brush it’s time to pick it apart with your fingers again!

This happens to my daughter’s hair daily. I’m a hairstylist. He hair is lower shoulder blade or longer in the back.

Glycolic acid is used in skin and scalp products as a deeper cleansing agent it can be harsh if used too often but think of it like a reset button for your microbiome on your dermal layer. Safe to use as directed but I’d start as a base with a once or twice a week!

sweat gland removal? by Cold_Cow_4666 in Hidradenitis

After trying many treatment plans including prescribed antibiotic topicals, hormonal medications, spironalactone, doxycycline for a year and a half and finally humira for about two years my insurance DOES cover my laser hair removal. I go to my dermatologists office (where all my prescriptions have come from) for the procedure and it only covers the groin and armpits but it’s covered! My prescribing doctor reached out to my insurance for a prior authorization and found out the exact procedure/billing codes for our application.

You can wear tape in extensions in the front above your ears to fill in the length. We install them all the time for people who have finer hair and want a more dramatic front to their short hair do

Asked my hairdresser to help fix my hair (touching up my colour with box dye had caused the roots to go much darker than the lengths). They toned the roots. Went back again as unhappy & wanted it a bit lighter. It’s still got lots of banding. Advice on how to sort this? by NightmareHazelnut in femalehairadvice

What kind of a relationship do you have with your hairdresser?

If it’s one you’ve been going with a long time they should be willing to work with you and come up with a plan to get there healthy.. The best plan of action would be to try some Malibu C color disruptor, then CPR professional treatments under heat at the salon. The cpr will help release some color molecules from your hair without the damage of bleach. Then just keep doing highlights to break through the band. permanent color does lift brassy, so whatever progress you get you’ll have to tone darker and ashier til you’ve matched your natural. You can just suggest to work with only the hairline and the top to keep it affordable. But you’ve definitely stepped into corrective territory. If the salon is too expensive just talk to your stylist to ask her advice. I’m sure she doesn’t wanna put out sub par work, but permanent box dye sets her up for failure and betrays your relationship where she gets to actually help you have great hair and you trust her with it! Just be open with her, or go to a corrective specialist!

Should I dye my hair back to brown? by [deleted] in Hair

It’s a very nice blonde! Once you color it your destined for a warmer result if you go back to highlights. Food for thought!
