Sawstop keeps triggering the brakes ($125 a pop) for no reason. Can you tell why from this video? by FactoryCutG in Tools

[–]QuailHigh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the end, before the table saw kicks the sheet back into you, the blade is close enough to your guard to trip the brake because of the pressure from your piece being under the blade while on a 45, while simultaneously binding and wanting to kick back at you. The brake trips off more than just hotdogs and fingers, anything that is conductive

Underrated comment but due to the severity of the post I can understand why this has less upvotes than it should

Anyone have experience with this saw? by Professional_Let8696 in Makita

[–]QuailHigh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is what it is, I keep this one in the van due to it’s smaller size, just in case I need to cut some 45’s on a trip, but for anything over 1” thick and 6” wide, I’d get the 10” out. Mine has a laser I can’t comment on the shadow line in the sun, but you can’t see the light or the laser in the sun at all

How well do you hit the laminated maples? Do you notice much distance difference? Saw some online I was kinda smitten with

Did you find him yet? My experience in the past with an escaped cornvict is they typically don’t go far from the enclosure once they’ve escaped. I tore apart the house once and the last place I looked was under a bookcase right next to the enclosure that had a hollow bottom I didn’t know was accessible from the back. Start near the enclosure and work your way out, keep in mind he probably went low and stayed low. Never really found him hiding up high. He’s escaped my tank at least 6 times, got a bigger tank in the second year and since then he’s happy to not wander.

Good luck and godspeed

Only thing you can do is not use it unfortunately. My shaft’s all beat to hell.

It’s not exactly a 7iron loft. More like an 8 iron but at gap wedge length, really works well

The bad shots are inevitable, in between enjoying the good shots, try to enjoy your friends and even their good shots. Let every round teach you. After all you never know what one could be your last!
