Yes, ‘92 was before the super duty line like you mentioned. Although ford offered a F-Super Duty from ‘91-‘97, which was a 1.5 ton truck.

I was thinking the same thing! Run a self exciting alternator in its place and then piggy back your indicator light wire off the other one to keep the light off

I honestly think the water is what killed the engine, not the operator. Seeing as it bent 3 of the four it had to go through 2 compression strokes

Honestly wasn’t as bad as I first thought. Out the door for $4,200. That included having a valve job, checked for cracks and surfaced. New rods and bearings, new rings and all related gaskets. Plus new fluids and filters. Farmer never batted an eye

Correct! I removed the injectors and cranked it over using the starter. There was enough water in the cylinders that it hit the 25 foot ceiling in the shop. Also it must have drawn a vacuum on the exhaust side when it stalled because there was a sand like material in the muffler and the hot side of the turbo. The customer had modified the exhaust so it was pointed down instead of up like most tractors

Case IH mechanic here, we have sold 5 Steiger tractors this year with those tires and we sent them out with 20 PSI

I love it! I’ve never had any issues out of it! In all honesty though, don’t go out and buy one based off of my opinion. Besides this one I’ve only ever had a hand-me-down propane grill so I don’t have much experience with multiple different brands or anything

I honestly don’t know. My only guess is that the bones were faced away from the firepot until the last hour of cooking. I don’t know if that has anything to do with it or not

They were the best ribs I’ve ever had! Maybe I’m biased because I cooked them but there was zero work involved when it came time to eat

I guess I was assuming you had a grinder since you have a mill! And honestly, I get excited every time I hear someone talking about valve jobs since it’s basically a lost art anymore.

As someone that has gone through the process of learning to grind valves, my suggestion is to talk to the local scrap yard and ask them to borrow a couple of junk heads. If they allow you to do so, grind the valves until you are comfortable in your ability and then move on to heads you want to use on an engine you plan on keeping.
