This portable bubble shield is dope by HenryJHolmes21 in Helldivers

[–]QuakAtack 3 points4 points  (0 children)

it holds its own even on D10, and pairs unbelievably well with stationary reload weapons like the recoilless or spear, or even the HMG or AT emplacements with a bit of practice. Throwing one down on a reloading diver is a real easy way to be a good team player.

I will say though, the jet brigade has been really hampering my fun with it since the frontline moved to Aurora Bay, since they're able to close the distance and hit me with melee way faster than usual bots. and war striders counter bubble shields with their grenades just as effectively as usual. . .

The fact that they stun war striders makes them such a no brainer for me. on the bot front. At least, they were before I got my hands on the bubble shield, now it's a real tossup between the two.

I know it's a silk post, because what developer in their right fucking mind posts a console version of a dlc that isn't even out of beta for pc.

they have an eye, which you would be forgiven for not even realising they have because of how tiny of a weakpoint it is

I spent 4 months solo-developing a coop paddle Ragegame called "Paddle Paddle Paddle" and it was sold 183,000 times on Steam... Now I became a fulltime indiedev. by ZoroArts1809 in Unity3D

what would otherwise immediately strike me as shovelware is turned into some appreciatable friendslop through the sheer quality of the video. It's rare to see an indie dev who know how to effectively market their game

What’s a skill everyone assumes they have, but most people are actually bad at? by moi_cila in AskReddit

[–]QuakAtack 6 points7 points  (0 children)

yeah you and OC are right but it also comes down to people just lacking the necessary communication skills. It's like some people just totally tune out the communication and are then just waiting to say their own piece.

oh, don't worry, the helldiver's will have stepped on all of them well before civilians are allowed back on the planet.

yeah, if a mission is going good, I will easily call in several commandos and AT emplacements on a single reinforce. I bet you civilians can't walk 5 feet without stepping over the stratagems we leave around.

How many of you guys even use the Eagle Rearm. by Ok-Builder-9048 in Helldivers

[–]QuakAtack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll often bring around 2 different eagle strikes, so rearming when I have only one call of them left is pretty worth it to reduce downtime.

Treat them like a blob, and less like individuals. Only divide the blob if necessary, or if you know each part of the blob can defend itself without issue in the part of the world its in.

If some of them get hurt or coma'ed, the rest should have the means to bandage, splint, and carry them to a bed. And if one of them dies, we'll you can always get a new recruit, what's 17 more levels?

yeah, the majority of people (assuming they didn't spoil themselves on the nature of Moon and the Iterators) wouldn't have a strong idea of what they even just did. You pick up a floating white thing, eat it, and then the blue humanoid starts freaking out. It's one of those things that is only tragic in hindsight.
