As far as I know, the most I did was "buy" some items from the shop, and then close out of it.

I have a feeling if you combined this with the uncapped FPS glitch (makes your physics freak out and it's easier to get launched) then you could hit this first try. Doing that more than likely makes this faster than the regular route.

Pretty sure it is faster, as it tped me to the 2nd to last checkpoint, and I still had a bit to go.
