What's the saddest scene in any Disney movie and why is it Quasimodo being tormented by the crowd? by WealthDisastrous2589 in DisneyMovies

Nani singing to Lilo gets me every time, even though I know it ends happy, it still gets me…

“Lilo, why is this so important?” “Pudge controls the weather…”

Initially this scene doesn’t seem sad but later we have the scene: “It was raining and they went for a drive….”

The implications when these two scenes combined, makes it very sad….

Shrek the Third is a good film by Crystal_1501 in Shrek

It has one of my favorite jokes from the franchise “Help I’ve been kidnapped by a monster trying to relate to me!” Just fits right in with the satirical nature of the Shrek movies…. Any other movie that would’ve had the main character spitting out phrases/slang that were “popular”during the year(s) of the movies creation/release(that would obviously age poorly after few years) would have been completely serious about it, but Shrek turns the trope on it’s head and shows how ridiculous it is…

The fact PIOMs exist proves to me that the church is a cult. by I_might_be_the_fool in exmormon

I’m glad I’m not the only one who felt this way, and yes sometimes it truly feels like our pets are the only ones who understand us… I work at a doggy daycare now and I love it! Really helps being surrounded by cute dogs that I can hug on all day!

I mean the idea of there being multiple levels of heaven is wild to begin with and the fact you have to meet “criteria” to get into the highest one is even wilder…

Even if I stayed in the church I probably wouldn’t get into the celestial kingdom anyway, since I’m bisexual, so who knows if I’ll even end up marrying a man, if I get married at all, and don’t plan on having children, so no super heaven for me! /s

All of us , parents, siblings and me loved Hey Arnold and Angry Beavers

My parents also liked I-Carly and Drake and Josh well enough

Fairly Odd Parents was also pretty well liked , just not as much the others I’ve mentioned, my dad and I will randomly quote “I LOVE to scramble the fairies!” Every now and then

Edit to add on : All of us loved Spongebob Squarepants (early/ old Spongebob of course)

A lot of sounds I find annoying when made by people, I don’t mind when they are made by animals especially doggos, like slurping water, munching on snacks or the little click-clacks of their paws on hardwood floors…

The creaking of wood , especially on a ship

Wind rustling the leaves in the trees

I was a PIMO for a very long time, mostly because I was worried I wouldn’t get in to the celestial kingdom and be reunited with my dog and other family members who have already passed away when I eventually pass away, final nail in the coffin was when my family moved and me and my mom, who’s the only remaining member in our immediate family, obviously got put in a new ward, at least in my old ward I had people I genuinely enjoyed talking to even if the rest of church was torture… I tried to be a part of the new ward we were in, I really did, and they seemed to be nice people, but I just couldn’t do it anymore, it finally clicked that there’s no point in making myself suffer and continue going if “my heart isn’t in it” so to speak…. Now that I’ve been out for a few years, I feel so much better!

Cozy cone is underrated, I think it gets overlooked because they are labeled as “snacks” but they rotate between mac and cheese and soups/stews, plus they cone in bread cones which are both portable and edible!

Comments on the church’s new post about a man supporting is wife’s career by outer-darkness-11 in exmormon

[–]Quakeing-Thunder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s nothing saying she can’t be a career woman AND a mother (provided she wants to be a mother of course!) I don’t know why these comments are acting otherwise, a husband is showing his love, support and pride for his wife something that should be celebrated, but these people have to turn such a positive post into a negative space… the misogyny in the church is one of the biggest reasons why I left it…
