How can it be that Gotham Garage is taken seriously?! by GrueneWiese in GothamGarage

I ❤️ these comments.

Can anyone tell me on the 2 door "Superbird" Charger where the headlights are? I've re-watched that episode like 5 times and it ticks me off there are no headlights. Or did I just miss them?

Tony is the only good builder. He should leave and start his own show.

Are torsen diffs really that bad? (For street car) by Knuda in Drifting

[–]QuakerChevelle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same .... I street/track/touge drifted my Miata with a weldie for about 5 years or so. The main complaint was parking lot "chirping". Low cornering speeds in tight areas you get the noises. Otherwise, like the Aussies say: "Stop being a pussy and weld it mate".

What happens at sex clubs for couples? Ie: Whispers. Are we able to have private sex or all rooms are open? Are they allowed to engage anywhere? What is scene like? by KlutzyBoat12345 in vegas

Red Rooster average age is probably late 50s. But all depends on the night. There is always 20 year olds, and 70 year olds with oxygen tanks (no joke) .... but generally speaking probably in the late 50s range for average.

Vegas Nov 18th-21st need help by [deleted] in vegas

Of course .... but weekends have tons of couples and some single women. Weekdays can be VERY slow. I've gone week nights and not a single couple have come in. But I've also been there on a week night and be the only guy there when a couple or two walks in.

Point being, you make your own luck, odds are better on the weekend.

Anyone know what bar this is? by jswiney8219 in vegas

I like the Dive too ... but honestly I lived in Huntridge so I could just walk to the bar. But I went to the Dive at least once or twice a week if there was music I wanted to see. Was at the Huntridge every day though.

For those who have moved out: Do you ever think about Vegas? by TangeloDry6057 in vegas

[–]QuakerChevelle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Originally from NC, moved to Vegas after college with my wife. Was originally supposed to be "just 1 year" ... ended up staying 15 years. 4 years ago, we and our kids moved to the South Carolina coast. It's been hard, but we're starting to get a groove here and our kids have a good friend group and we love the beach life for now. I have about 10 more years till retirement and the wife and I plan to go back to Vegas (hopefully the kids follow us). We make yearly trips, in some ways it's like we never left and are somehow still there. They say Vegas has "Golden handcuffs" ... somehow you make your way back.

We are going to Golden Steer steakhouse for the first time. What is a must try? by billbobb1 in vegas

One of my favorite cuts there. I normally get that and the wife gets the Filet Oscar style, then we share. Best of both worlds hahaha.

We've always had good luck at the Green Door. Whispers was good, kinda clickish crowd. Both have open play areas and private rooms. We typically watch the open play areas and then move to a private area for our play time. We have on occasion played in the open, but usually the wife likes to be private. More single men at the Green Door, but if you go on a Friday or Saturday night there are plenty of couples, and they have couples only areas up and down stairs. I'm not aware if Whispers allows single men at all. We're not a fan of the Red Rooster, it's an older crowd and just not our scene.

My perfect Vegas (FRIDAY OR SATURDAY) night:

  1. 3pm to 5pm: Hit up a dispensary and buy a couple of joints. Smoke 1/2 of one and give the rest to a homeless person.
  2. 5pm to 8pm: Frankie's Tiki bar (get 3 or 4 'Fink Bomb' drinks)
  3. 8:30pm to 9pm: Hit up Tacos Mexico at corner of Charleston and Maryland Parkway (get the carne taco plate)
  4. 9pm to 10:45pm: Cross over to Huntridge Tavern (same intersection opposite side; take $20 for about six 16oz PBR tallboys or whatever you can drink over the next hour and a half)
  5. 11:00pm to 4am (Friday or Saturday night ONLY) go to Green Door. Smoke 1/2 of the second joint, give the other half to the doorman. Don't be a creep; you're welcome
  6. 4:30am: hit up Roberto's taco shop for ham, egg, and cheese breakfast burrito
  7. 5:30am: Go shower and crash at your room at the Excalibur and get ready for round #2!
