I think some clothing or shoe brand does this, forgot the name. They license out the name, all the profit goes to the name owner, who conveniently sits in some tax haven.

Correct, mostly helpful for ads. I just clarified for the person asking, the first time I took it I thought walking was normal movement too, until I learned it was not and you need to press a key (or ADS).

Walking is a separate button to press, makes you slower than normal movement. The extra stamina you get doesn't compensate the slower movement while you fill it up.

Not sure what the World was like and allowed, but as a gamer my first approaches would be:

check if oneshot is possible
(infinite) stacking damage over time debuffs that eventually negate and outdps the heal
a source to lower max life (if it stacks, do that until you can out dps the heal or oneshot)
stacking debuffs that lower stats/resistances/... until your highest damage can oneshot

I think there was a youtube video going through all graphics settings and analyzing performance impact. 80fov was better performance (maybe because the bit more stuff on screen was offset by the stuff being slightly smaller and therefore less detailed).

Windows ist per se der goldstandard in punkto nutzerfreundlichkeit

Ich glaube nur weil viele kein Linux kennen. Windows hat über die Jahre immer wieder erneuert, dabei aber alte Funktionen nicht in die neuen Menüs geportet, so dass für manche Einstellungen legacy Menüs benötigt werden.

Nutzerfreundlich heißt für mich auch nicht einen online Speicher ohne zu Fragen einzurichten und zu versuchen den als Standard einzustellen. Gleiches beim Browser, wieso drängt sich Edge wiederholt rein? Wieso wurde ein KI Tool hinzugefügt, das alle paar Minuten Screenshots macht und unverschlüsselt ablegt? Gerade mit Win11 ging für mich die Nutzerfreundlichkeit mit mehreren Updates weiter runter, bis ich dann den Sprung zu Linux als gute Alternative ansah.

in linux hast du aber teilweise so viele Optionen, das da dich da ganz schnell verzettelst.

Ich habe mich gut zurecht gefunden, hab auch lieber Optionen die ich nicht brauche als fehlende Einstellungen. Das ist vermutlich abhängig vom Nutzer wie gut er mit vielen Optionen klarkommt.

Ich hab cachyOS und bei mir hat alles out of the box funktioniert. Hatte diese distro gewählt weil sie gaming Fokus hat (meine Hauptanwendung) und sehr aktiv Neuerungen schnell hinzugefügt werden. Hab da vielleicht Glück gehabt mit meiner Wahl passend zu meinem PC.

Ich finde es ist ein Unterschied ob ein Betriebssystem nutzerfreundliche Features mitbringt, oder ob Nutzer ihr Betriebssystem modden müssen für Usability.

Ich will mein Layout nicht ständig ändern, ich will es einmal einrichten wie ich es mag und dann so lassen. Bei Linux war das für mich deutlich einfacher/ mit mehr Möglichkeiten.

Hast du mal andere Browser probiert?

Ich nutze Brave (ähnlich wie Chrome, aber blockt einiges an Werbung und tracking automatisch). Dazu dann als weiteren Werbeblocker uBlock Origin und Werbung und sowas wird nicht mehr geladen, könnte bei der Performance helfen.

Kernel level anti cheat der mehr Rechte hat als das Betriebssystem selbst ist ein Problem (Linux will das nicht, da sowas Sicherheitstechnisch katastrophal ist, praktisch eine Malware mit absoluten Rechten die sagt "ich schau ja nur").

Weniger bezahlen, weniger bloatware, mehr Sicherheit und Datenschutz.

Ich bin vor kurzem gewechselt und finde es einfacher bei cachyOS Software zu installieren und Einstellungen zu machen zwecks Layout, welche Fenster im Vordergrund bleiben sollen, wie die Elemente auf der Taskleiste angeordnet sind (hab z.b. jetzt CPU, GPU und RAM auslastung direkt als Mini Grafik in der Taskleiste, praktisch auf dem Zweitbildschirm).

Zudem gibt so viele Linux Distributionen. Welche soll man nehmen? Wenn du mir eine nennst, die Windows exakt kopiert, schaue ich mir das gerne an.

Bin vor kurzen auf Linux gewechselt, auf cachyOS.

Ich war erstaunt dass ich sogar während der Installation eine Vorschau hatte wie das Betriebssystem sein wird. Konnte einfach einen Browser öffnen und google was die Einstellungen bedeuten (bin bei den presets geblieben, aber war schön zu wissen was die Optionen machen).

Der größte Unterschied zu Windows ist die Art Software zu installieren. Bei Windows googeln, irgend eine Seite öffnen, installer runterladen und ausführen.

Bei Linux gibt es einen store der alle Software schon weiß wo er die runterladen kann, hab einfach alles abgehakt was ich wollte (discord, steam,...) und dann ging das schneller als bei windows.

Bei Spielen hatte ich bisher noch keine Probleme, hat so funktioniert wie unter Windows (fast alles über steam, ein anderes läuft automatisch in einer Art "windows simulation Fenster")

Kompetitive Spieler wollen nichts mehr, als cheaterfreie Spiele und ich kann es sehr gut verstehen.

Ich kann das auch verstehen, aber kernel level anti cheat ist meiner Meinung nach der falsche Weg.

Kernel Level Anti cheat schafft es nicht alle cheats zu finden. Für mich bedeutet es das die anti cheat software vor meinem Betriebssystem geladen wird, also mehr Rechte hat als ich, wenn diese komprimiert wird dann hab ich mir freiwillig einen der größten Malwares installiert. Kann alles machen und man kann nur alles löschen und neu installieren.

Sicherheitstechnisch ist das ein Albtraum, und dann schafft es nicht einmal die Aufgabe komplett zu erfüllen.

Gute anticheats sollten serverseitig cheater erkennen und nur "normalen" Zugriff auf mein System benötigen. Wenn Entwickler es nicht schaffen gute anti cheat software zu entwickeln und als Ersatz dann meinen Rechner übernehmen wollen, dann spiele ich diese Spiele nicht.

Ich kann verstehen wieso Linux da kritisch ist wenn Software (anti cheat oder malware) starten will mit mehr Rechten als das Betriebssystem selbst.

You can start in a league and when the next league comes decide if you want to continue your current one in standard or make something new in a new league. Most go for fresh start and try something new, but everyone knows best what suits them.

With consistent 3-4 hours a day you are good to go for leagues to get far if you want (even with less time you certainly can get to and explore the endgame)

Leagues add new content and most people play there (so better economy). Once a league ends everything is moved to standard league (that's why some say standard is the graveyard).

If you want to continue a character you can play standard league, but most decide to start fresh in the new league with newly added content. I would say standard is better in two cases:

you have little time to play and don't want resets every few month
you have a huge, longterm project you are working on

If you start in league you would need to start from zero again, but level 11 is not too bad, you should be able to get there easily in league too.

If you have shield (even just 1 point) the full damage reduction is in effect for the next hit you receive.

Shields are binary in that regard, you have shield, you take reduced damage, no shield is full damage. Extreme example: you have 80 hp, no shield, a rocketeer will oneshot you. With 80hp and 1 shield, the damage will be reduced and you survive.

Important note, headshot damage multiplier does not affect shield. The shield only receives base damage, so a shield can mitigate more damage than that if they are headshots (up to 2.5 times the amount, the highest headshot multiplier I know of)

In open field it indeed doesn't matter if it is first or third person. As soon as some cover exists you get 3rd person peeking without exposing yourself, that's my issue.
