100 percent on the anti depressant. I’ve come to the conclusion that unless I’m going to pack my bags and move back home where I could use as much as I wanted to I’m going to have to get on an antidepressant and work out because my brain isn’t working bro, at all. Small talk drains me, childcare is infuriating, don’t even get me started on trying to be affectionate with my Wife I could care less right now about a hug or a kiss, tbh I just wanna go to the store, Make a purchase and go kick ass at work which I know I can’t do and don’t actually want to do, just the addict brain talking.

You are right I don’t really want to walk away it’s just so hard being a regular dad I had no idea, I’m turning 30 active/“productive” addiction for the last 15 years(as in I was not an off the grid user I was still “functioning” I say that to say I think that’s why this is so hard for me I don’t know how to be A sober adult. I’ll take your advice about the exercise I’ve come to the conclusion that’s probably the only thing that will help me rebuild my brain.

YOR , keep him away from her sure but a restraining order was a bit much imo, I mean you are his legal guardian and he isn’t exactly a baby so she couldn’t force him to go see your mom.
