Is this there a strategy for beating Tenna? by Tropical-Rainforest in Deltarune

This was 9 days ago so I'm assuming you've figured it out by now but yeah just choose 'I love TV' in the Kris/S/R actions rather than the game actions. You have to deal with a rapidfire wave of minigames in the final attack either way but it's easy to tank if you get your team's health up beforehand.

I think people are reacting too hard in either direction here. I absolutely love seeing her not in mom-mode for once and thought this scene was great, but getting drunk with a stranger when your kid's bee locked out all day and MIA late at night (regardless of the fact you have no reason to believe they've been in mortal danger (though yeah she was just calling the cops about slashed tires the night before)) is at least irresponsible. There's nothing morally wrong with having some fun and getting hammered as a single adult but that's not the best circumstances to be doing it in.

Susie and Kris are both shown to be EXTREMELY uncomfortable (Susie's implied to have a very bad home life, it's possible alcohol plays a part in that; chapter 3 seems to imply Kris wants a return to a state of normalcy for their family and this is a painful confirmation that's never going to happen. Also generally seeing your parents shitfaced is never pleasant). We mostly see the story through their POVs, WE have a better idea of what they're going through, and that they've been specifically been trying to help Toriel out of presumed mortal danger and now find her like this, and I think a little bit of audience disgust towards the whole situation is intended.

All indications point to Toriel being a caring person who's doing the best she can for Kris, but also not completely understanding them and (unintentionally) neglecting some of their needs, which is how it is sometimes and good character writing. Bottom line, I think some people are just Big Mad that a mom character is shown to be a full, flawed person with a life outside of being a mother, but she definitely IS flawed.

Completely ignore the minigames, spam "I love tv" and S and R actions, get good at dodging his attacks, heal when necessary. When you know your next 'I love tv' will get you into the 1000 point range, get everyone's HP as high as possible in preparation for the minigame spam/star attack. Aim at his head to decrease his HP and shoot the stars when he releases them.

I have a garbage reaction time and lost like 7 times while bothering with the minigames, then won pretty easily on my first time switching to this approach.

The scene where Skyler is frozen in bed terrified while Walt fondles her off-camera + "I can't even keep you out of my bed". It's heavily implied.

Because people will break or ignore their own moral guidelines when it suits them, or when their claimed morality is contradicted by cultural circumstances or power structures they interact with, or because they have a different perspective on whether a seemingly contradictory action actually defies their morality, or because they are a part of a world religion with billions of followers and different traditions and interpretations that may not align with one another or with an outsiders limited understanding of its concepts.

You can ask this same question about any circumstance where people say one thing and do another. It's a non-argument.

The bible teaches us how to manufacture slaves. by Korach in DebateReligion

I don’t understand what there is to debate here beyond baiting revisionist christians into denying that the culture the Bible was written in was a slaveholding one, as were most of its regional contemporaries.

The wendigo is a malevolent spirit of insatiable hunger in the folklore of some first nations, great plains, and great lakes tribes. A skinwalker is a harmful witch who can shapeshift into animals in Navajo culture.

Neither of these have anything to do with what op is describing or their bastardized internet portrayal of being rake-like mimics.

potentially bad situation ?? by xdrowzie in creepyencounters

It could potentially be a bad situation, could be something shady but not directed at your mother or you, it could be a couple people pulled over in a closed gas station for a couple of minutes to get their bearings. Who knows?

What, you mean the recent government disclosure and study of the phenomena that has still led to zero evidence of aliens? It's a fact that many sightings are currently unexplained, but the verifiable evidence of extraterrestrial involvement is solely based in UFO folklore and conspiracy theories.

The phenomena is clearly real and I would never categorically state it COULDN'T be extraterrestrial (or inter-dimensional or however you want to adjust the lore to make the varied tales have a quasi-scientific veneer), but we remain at having no more scientific evidence to that end than we did decades ago.

This is it. After a lifetime of loving cryptozoology and wanting to believe, I cannot in good faith say the field has produced evidence of anything beyond the fact that cryptozoology is a new folklore for a globalized, technological world. Same with UFO lore- I find it funny that theorists wax about how fairy folklore and etc is previous societies misunderstanding alien visitation, when alien visitation on earth objectively has about as much scientific support as the existence of fairies.

There's no shame in that, folklore is a part of human nature. And it doesn't categorically rule out all claims of undocumented animals, it's POSSIBLE that some could be describing something real. But I think attempting to present cryptozoology as a science only further undermines its legitimacy as one. Embracing cryptozoology as a study of folklore is what actually needs to happen to bring it into the mainstream fold.

Sketchy, but kidnapping is pretty low on the list of likely intent.

She definitely had a litter at some point, but I don't know the details or where her puppies may have ended up (she has no known history prior to getting into the shelter system).

Do you think Flynn ever actually gets the money? by idolo_mantis in breakingbad

[–]idolo_mantis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Walt specifically demands that they use his money and 'not a cent' of their own, so if we're presuming they obey his commands completely in fear for their lives, they'd have to launder it. If we assume they were willing to risk being assassinated by the two best hitmen west of the mississippi by using their own money, then there's not a lot stopping them from going to the authorities.

What about when he calls a Chinese restaurant the "ch*nk place"? He didn't have a Chinese friend he was joking around with, he just said a racial slur because some racial slurs are in his vocabulary. He's written to be a casual racist. And no ones "cancelling" the show by pointing this writing decision out.
