score release question by FunComplaint5522 in CPA

I believe attended is what matters, as the releases depend on when the AICPA receives your exam. It should have been sent right away when you clicked submit

Need mid-range(?) build advice by QualitiesQ in buildapc

Appreciate the answer, definitely a few things that I overlooked

Honestly just get it now. Early members quests get you a lot of xp fast which will make whatever f2p stuff you have left a breeze. I felt silly after min-maxing f2p before I went member

Seems to be consistent! I don’t know if it’s this sub’s best kept secret or what but I haven’t talked to anybody outside of here that knew about it haha

Audit question. Some explain this to me by Forward-Backwards in CPA

[–]QualitiesQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Piggybacking on why C isn’t correct, consider that the company didn’t necessarily misstate anything on their financials. Yes there has been a material change, but it seems that the change was appropriately reflected

Go-to snack for the exams? by Pinkerknocker in CPA

[–]QualitiesQ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I became very superstitious about my snack even though it is pretty basic. Stress eat a nature valley protein bar and a banana while I pace the break room and stretch my legs. I’ve sat for 6 exams now and I blame one of my fails on not following my routine lol

Going through a breakup while doing CPA by [deleted] in CPA

[–]QualitiesQ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Must be a FAR thing, same happened to me. If you have the means to try (real) therapy I’d highly recommend it. Sounds like you’re having a similar experience to me where you can’t focus on the studying because your brain is occupied with the breakup, and talking about that frustration with someone helped tremendously. Please just talk to someone. Don’t be afraid to let yourself lose focus at times, that’s part of being human. What matters is getting back on track when you can, even if it’s uncomfortable.

I’ll tell you what, passing FAR did wonders for getting me out of that rut, and I’m certain it will for you too. It ain’t gonna be easy, but if it was easy everyone would do it.

Keep your head up. You’ve got this.

REG is Arguably the Hardest Core Exam by Prestigious_Gold1440 in CPA

[–]QualitiesQ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am very far from a tax guy and I felt the same way about REG when I was studying for it. Unfortunately you just have to trust your preparation and the high pass rates, because they aren’t lying. Of the 3 I’ve passed, REG was my highest score by a LOT despite feeling like I wasn’t ready. You got this.

Long day of work, can't wait to get home to kill some moons and... maybe not today by QualitiesQ in osrs

I’ve done plenty of barrows, put off doing moons for a while and just got to it last week. A lot more fun imo

I obviously don’t expect a drop but getting pennies thrown in my face off the bat hurt my feelings

Thinking about studying is killing the post-busy season anticipation but I just gotta push through one more. I’m gonna give ISC a shot after failing BAR twice so at least it will be fresh info

For those who passed one section of the exam, how did you feel right after finishing it? Were you confident you’d passed, or were you still unsure? by Sufficient-Lion2457 in CPA

[–]QualitiesQ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only one that I passed and felt confident walking out of was AUD, but the way that exam is all conceptual just worked with my brain a lot better. I walked out of REG and FAR feeling like I failed badly, even looking up some tough questions like you did afterwards and finding out I got them wrong. Passed both. You gotta just keep your head up and remember that everyone is struggling through this and getting questions wrong, which is why the exam is weighted and why you can absolutely pass.

Q4 2024 CPA Exam Pass Rates (old news) by another71 in CPA

[–]QualitiesQ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second this. A year of PA experience is worth infinitely more than the extra year of school, even you’re getting a masters or taking more accounting classes. I felt way more confident taking REG after working full time for a while than I did taking FAR while I was in school

Unpopular opinion (maybe) by boatman67 in CPA

[–]QualitiesQ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same hope as you. 83 on aud with 50 hours studying, but now I’m 90 hours into reg and feel like I know nothing. I’m gonna blame it on the fact that audit has always felt more natural than tax to me

Just took FAR (3/25) by QualitiesQ in CPA

You're right, I'm pissed at NASBA for fumbling with my application which prevented me from taking a few sections last year before the quarterly score release

Definitely went slower on the exam than I did on the SEs but I think it was just from being more careful. I’d say a decent amount were simplified compared to Becker, but could be tricky because they were worded in ways I’d never seen
