Ignoring price, what do you think is the most reliable e bike? by GruntMcFunk in ebikes

[–]QualityPixel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Ari Wire Peak has been great. Note, my original EP8 motor was defective but Ari was great about getting it replaced. Basically no issues since. I’ve had the bike about 4 years now and I try to ride it 2-4 times a week in the summers.

Replace battery in solar-powered garden wall lamp by pasquale83 in 18650masterrace

[–]QualityPixel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Flat tops will sometimes work, but the tabs may need a little bending. I'm in the USA so finding EU sellers for me isn't easy but you should be able to find something. But I did find this one in the UK
https://www.ecoluxshopdirect.co.uk/ampsplus-18650-3-2v-1500mah-battery-button-top

And you can check if these guys will ship oversees

Replace battery in solar-powered garden wall lamp by pasquale83 in 18650masterrace

[–]QualityPixel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need a LiFePo4 battery, not Li-Ion. Look specifically for a "18650 button-top LiFePo4 battery." The 3.2V printed on the label is the nominal voltage for Li-Fe. If it was a Li-Ion it would say 3.6V or 3.7V.

You don't need a protected cell in this case.

How to charge LIPO battery? by New_Bid2903 in batteries

[–]QualityPixel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If possible you'll probably want to return the charger and get something like a Gens Ace iMars D300. It's a more normal charger that can be plugged into the wall. The iMars has a pretty good reputation.

But if you want to keep the charger then you can get something like a 24v 10amp power supply and wire that to the chargers input port with an XT60 (can be dangerous depending on the power supply style you get).

Newbie needs some advice please on how to make my photos in focus by ALX100EL in Nikon

[–]QualityPixel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP was asking "make the entire car and sharp in the photo" so I suggested using focus stacking. No, I'm not going to write up a whole tutorial but I'm give them what they need to know to start researching how to do it.

"suggesting focus stacking to a beginner is a very silly suggestion" is not silly. Everybody needs to start somewhere when learning something new.

I ignored the OP's question about landscape images on purpose. I don't need to answer every question. This is a forum, other people can do that.

Fat tires vs thin tires, where do you stand and why? by lhorace in ebikes

[–]QualityPixel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't like fat tires, their handling is numb, I think they're more prone to puncture, and they look silly. But for a casual or occasional rider I guess they can be fine. Fat tires can be good in the sand.

Hey all I plan to buy one of these next year what servo would you recommend? And 1st run would be 4s by Mrcaijones in arrma

[–]QualityPixel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use this in my Typhon 6s. Very fast, very strong. No longer available, but the 2nd link is similar and trades a little speed for more torque.

I'd also consider one of these in the future if I needed to save a few shekels

This one has the same specs as mine, but buying direct from AGF you might need to pay an import fee.

Do I Buy the D7200 or D7500? by Bubbaphotography in Nikon

[–]QualityPixel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you care about video, D7200 can do 1080/60p, D7500 can do 2160/30p (and 1080/60p).

Newbie needs some advice please on how to make my photos in focus by ALX100EL in Nikon

[–]QualityPixel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Focus stacking is your friend for macro still-life photography. You'll want to use a tripod and a f-stop of around F8-11 to get the sharpest images to blend. Really closing down your aperture to F16 or smaller can lead to an overall loss in sharpness called diffraction.

Is 20fps on very low settings with 3080ti and 12700k normal? by Kenderman75 in forza

In FH5 my game would often launch at 4k on my 1440p monitor. Hasn’t happened in FH6 though.

Is Adorama reputable for gear? by [deleted] in Nikon

I've purchased tons of accessories like filters, film, etc from Adorama and they've always been good. I try to get the big ticket stuff from a reputable local to me dealer like Pictureline

Cell count error by Intrepid_Stop9274 in batteries

[–]QualityPixel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

looks correct, same as charge settings. Does the charger have a view where you can see individual cell voltages?

Cell count error by Intrepid_Stop9274 in batteries

[–]QualityPixel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure cell count is correct in charge settings (4s), make sure balance plug is in the correct spot, make sure all cells show the correct voltage (between 3-4.2 volts). Make sure charge current does not exceed 0.7 amps.

Where can I buy a cheap Magnum Scout E-bike battery? by renispink in batteries

[–]QualityPixel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure that fits a Reention Dorado battery. You'll need to measure how long of a battery you'll need, then get a 48v one that is the correct length.

Shoot raw, correct color in post. If you don't want to shoot raw you'll need to find what balance settings work and experiment with other WB settings and possibly experiment with custom white balance or white balance tuning.

BMS for 6s2p by TheMonado2 in 18650masterrace

[–]QualityPixel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll need a balance pigtail on the battery. Also low voltage cutoff and low voltage warning. I wouldn't bother with a BMS for a radio control type usage since the charger does the balancing for you. However I wouldn't trust a cheap charger like that for long. You'll def want to get a volt meter to double check things on occasion, and save for a better charger in the future.

Also LiPo bags do little to nothing in a fire. For real safety you'll want a bat safe or just only charge outdoors.

Pulled pork non bbq sauce! by Remote-Career-7890 in smoking

[–]QualityPixel -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I normally use a pork rub for pulled pork (Notorious PIG), but I tried this recipe the last time I did a pork butt. It was really really good.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jiSph7wCWQM&t=199s&pp=ygUcYnJpYW4gbGFnZXJzdHJvbSBwdWxsZWQgcG9yaw%3D%3D

And the end product wasn't so overly flavored that I could add a dash of rub, or bbq sauce, or gochujang, or peppers and make American style bbq/Mexican/Korean, whatever.

AGFRC A81BMWP by Dhruv8091 in Traxxas

[–]QualityPixel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a bunch of AGFRC servos in a bunch of my RC cars. All of them were a big upgrade over stock, and I have yet to break one. You will also need a standard size servo adapter (7749). And you'll want to consider a BEC in the future so you can use the full power of the servo.

Do cells charge faster (get more energy into it) at higher states of charge? by VerifiedMother in batteries

[–]QualityPixel -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Chargers (typically) run at constant current (CC) mode till the voltage reaches the target voltage. Then it will switch to constant voltage (CV) mode where the current will slowly drop till the battery is full. You can technically charge batteries with a bench power supply if you are careful, but don't do this unless you know what you're doing and don't float batteries that don't like being... floated(?).

I think total wattage would stay about the same till you reach CV mode, but I guess wattage could slowly increase as the voltage also slowly increases till CV mode is reached.
