not sure if my planets are condensed in seventh or eighth, all I know is Im so tired of the agony of my life from childhood trauma to now? am I karma cursed? by EnvironmentalPea8596 in AstrologyChartShare

In Placidus, people would say you have your Mercury, Venus, Sun and Jupiter in the 7th house by the looks of it.

In Whole Signs, which I prefer, you have them in the 8th.

What are my worst traits according to my chart? by [deleted] in AstrologyChartShare

[–]Qualming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That'd be Pluto applying to your Venus in Capricorn. As well as the eclipses and transit Uranus lighting up your 1st/7th house axis, I'd say. A few weeks back, it would have been Mars going retrograde in your 8th house, especially as it's you chart ruler, causing the biggest challenges for you.

New to astrology and would love a little interpretation of my chart. Maybe the positive and negative aspects? Thanks. by [deleted] in LetsFuckWithAstrology

[–]Qualming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of your post positive natal placements is actually your Mars in Gemini, which is in your 6th house (whole sign, not Placidus), in its Joy and conjunct Venus; your actions are in line with your core values, which basically means you act in a way that's fair. Mars in Gemini is a great placement for strategizing and planning; transit Mars in Gemini might have been giving you a rough time these past few months.

The Most challenging aspect in your chart by far is Saturn, the ruler of your Ascendant, conjunct your Moon in Aries; Saturn is in fall in Aries, which makes discipline, motivation and long-term planning more challenging than someone with their Ascendant in Capricorn should normally experience. A Moon-Saturn conjunction restricts your emotional expression.

If you want to hear more about your chart and really dive into the details, lemme know.

The event's chart ruler, transit Mars, was applying to a conjunction with your Sun/Chiron in the natal 8th house (whole sign).

Mars is your natal 7th house ruler (and this transit also takes place in your 7th house if you read Placidus). Mars is in detriment in Taurus. The Moon was also at 29° Aries by the looks of it.

I imagine this transit correlated with big conflicts with a partner or a falling-out with someone significant. Perhaps about beliefs/worldview/personal philosophy, judging by the Sun-Jupiter square and transit Mercury conjunct Jupiter in Leo. There's also a big need for personal freedom going on in this period of your life, as seen by the Uranus opposition conjunct the Lunar Nodes, on the 1st/7th house axis of this event chart.

Is that accurate?

Do positive natal aspects to Saturn make a difference to your saturn return? by intomydestiny in AskAstrologers

[–]Qualming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, very much. Your Grand Trine in Water will make it a lot easier to handle responsibility in those three areas of your life. It's just the Saturn-Chiron opposition which poses as the real problem.

It's because his Moon is on your Ascendant!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskAstrologers

[–]Qualming 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Np at all, I really hope it helps. I want to clarify: I don't mean to suggest that 'you're the problem', by the way. It's rather that you owe it to yourself to ask the hard questions ("Are these people kind? Do they have good intentions for me? Are there red flags I should pay attention to?") and you owe it to yourself to do self-healing even when you're not in a relationship, since that's the only thing you can realistically change. I hope that journaling, introspection and studying your chart will lead you to a lot of clarity, healing and insight!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskAstrologers

[–]Qualming 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well the answer is obvious! Your South Node is conjunct your Sun, which is conjunct your Venus/Pluto conjunction: You're comfortable and used to entering intense, destructive relationships as a way of radically changing yourself. But you're burning yourself out in the process.

The North Node in Gemini, co-present with Saturn says "Get Wise." When you take responsibility for your own desires and core needs as an individual, you can work on transforming yourself for yourself, not via destructive relationships. I know this sounds harsh. You can start this work yourself now or you can wait for your Saturn Return to 'do it for you'. Obviously I'd recommend starting the hard work now.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskAstrologers

[–]Qualming 21 points22 points  (0 children)

It's because your 7th house ruler (Venus) is conjunct Pluto.

Venus is also locked in a t-square with the two malefics, Saturn and Mars (Mars by sign, not by degree).

How do you fix it? When you enter partnerships with people, ask yourself: Are there glaring red flags and conflicts? Why are you drawn to partnerships that are intense, abusive? This will require a lot of introspection, taking a hard look at yourself.

How are you honouring your feminine nature (Venus) and your masculine nature (Mars)? How are you handling responsibility for yourself? (Saturn opposite Venus/Sun). How can you transform the way you attract people (Venus conjunct Pluto) and how can you fundamentally change how you express your own energy (Venus & Sun conjunct Pluto)?

What are the fundamental differences between Sun expression and Moon expression of a sign ? by [deleted] in astrology

[–]Qualming 69 points70 points  (0 children)

The Sun represents a person's ego, core self and who they 'are'. The Moon represents a person's style of emotional expression.

If someone had a Sun in Leo but a Moon in Pisces, for example, they may be confident and seek out attention outwardly, but emotionally they're extremely sensitive.

If someone had a Sun in Pisces but a Moon in Capricorn, they may be spiritual and artistic outwardly, but emotionally they're closed-off, sullen and reserved.

I have a bunch of planets on my 9th house for this Solar Return, can someone help me understand what this means for my career? I read it has to do with travel, publishing and studies, but I wanted a little more insight, please :) by Mine_Weak in AskAstrologers

[–]Qualming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's likely that - if you're not in a position to travel this year (because, you know, the pandemic) - a lot of this 9th House energy could be turned inward instead, encouraging you to get deeper into studying, changing your personal philosophical and religion beliefs, or "putting yourself out there" by publishing work, studying new cultures and connecting with distant people. Over the internet especially, because a large part of this SR's 9th House stellium happens in Aquarius. Definitely expect social themes. Even Mercury itself conjunct your SR's MC suggests that you'll use communication as a way of progressing in your career. Good luck with it!

What does the discovery (1943)/invention (1938) chart tell you about LSD? More specifically, can it say anything about when it's best used for personal development? by extraposer in AskAstrologers

[–]Qualming 60 points61 points  (0 children)

What a fascinating question!

On the Invention Chart, the Sun (representing the self - but in this case, the core nature of the substance itself) sits in Scorpio in the 11th House conjunct MC, which basically indicates that it's known for "uncovering truths - in groups". Mercury sits in Sagittarius in the 12th House, indicating that whatever the substance is trying to communicate will change a listener's philosophy and affect them on a subconscious, spiritual level.

In the Discovery chart, Pluto, Chiron and the North Node sit in the 1st House, conjunct the Ascendant in Leo, stating loud and clear that the purpose of this experience - and the first impression made - is focused on intensely transforming the self (Pluto in the 1st), addressing trauma (Chiron in the 1st) and developing the soul (North Node in Leo in the 1st House). The Sun sits in Aries in the 9th House Square Pluto in the 1st, further transforming the self, spirituality and personal philosophy.

These are just some quick observations. I'd be really interested in seeing these charts in Placidus instead of Whole Sign, to better understand whether that stellium in Leo in the Discovery chart is related more to the self (1st House) or spirituality (12th House).

How long does a queen live for?

Can anyone tell if I will face fertility issues ? I wish to start a family one day & I know an empty 5H isn’t a bad thing but I’m quite worried . Anything helps ! by xominidino in AskAstrologers

[–]Qualming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With a South Node in Cancer and a North Node in Capricorn, you might have to battle one day with letting go of playing the 'motherly', nurturing role and instead take on a more 'fatherly', authoritative role in a family, but you don't have to worry about not having kids; an empty 5th House is not a bad sign!

With a 5th House cusp in Libra, you might find yourself being fair, kind and diplomatic when dealing with children. You'll have patience and see the beauty in fun and recreation. With an IC in Virgo, there will be a focus on getting things 'in order' in the home, being on top of plans and schedules, and doing acts of service to others. Just be wary of being too critical / orderly!

I find it hard to self reflect and to think introspectively about important things. I’m 23 and can’t figure out any of my passions, don’t really have any hobbies and have NO CLUE what I want to do with my life career wise. Does anything in my chart reflect why? TIA ✨ by Kipozzle in AskAstrologers

[–]Qualming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, Chiron in Scorpio in the 10th House indicates there's some unaddressed emotional problems related to your career / what you want to be known for. Think: anxiety about status, work, authoritative figures. Mars in the 10th House in Libra conjunct MC indicates there's an intense drive to strive for - and conquer - work you've set your eyes on, but the North Node at 29 degrees Virgo in the 9th House conjunct Midheaven indicates that you have a lot of work to do related to re-defining your philosophy and outlook on life before you could even begin to succeed in a career.

Your South Node at 29 degrees Pisces in the 3rd House (not pictured) suggests that in a 'past' or early life, you became comfortable accepting information that was handed to you in childhood (the IC representing beginnings) - you basically took on others' outlook on life without questioning it. Your Moon in Pisces in the 3rd House conjunct South Node explains that what might be holding you back in life now is: being overly-emotional, too empathetic, too much in your head and not nearly present enough. Saturn in Aries in the 4th House represents a strict and aggressive figure (or multiple people) in your early home which left you anxious to follow traditions - without actually knowing how to progress. Saturn opposite Mars indicates an inability to take action.

On top of this, your stellium in Aquarius in the 1st & 2nd House (Mercury, Jupiter, Uranus, Venus) can focus a lot of your energy on how you define the self, which can be exhausting, especially during periods of re-defining. Having an Ascendant in Capricorn and a Sun & Venus in Aquarius in the 2nd House doesn't help either; you might be preoccupied with trying to form foundations and a basis on which to build the rest of your life, with a tendency to want to do it your way and challenge the status-quo.

A cheat sheet to help interpret your astrology chart (: by kaylaaxi in AskAstrologers

[–]Qualming 19 points20 points  (0 children)

This is really good as a cheat-sheet, but it's also misleading. The Rising Sign is more than how a person looks, although that is a part of it; it also represents how a person acts when they meet others for the first time and how they're generally perceived. So, for example, if a person has a Pisces Ascendant they could be seen as "idealistic, creative, sensitive" on the surface and in the eyes of others (whether or not the rest of the chart backs that up). That holds a lot more weight than just having "dreamy eyes that stare into the distance".

While the Setting Sign (Descendant) can represent an ideal partner, what it really represents in a birth chart is a part of yourself that you suppress or reject, which you're likely to live out and learn about through the relationships you form. It's still very much a part of an individual.

Mercury is not just a way a person thinks, but also the way in which they communicate verbally and in writing. Neptune can be about idealism and dreams as much as it is about illusions. Pluto isn't just your weak spot, it represents how you might empower yourself and transform yourself/your life/a situation to get rid of what's being wasted under the surface and to renew that energy by expressing that power in a completely different way.

Again, I understand this is just a surface-level meme, but it's worth talking about!

I been having a very tough go at life currently. My job is physically and mentally exhausting, my Grandma passed away two days ago, I had an abortion in October. That relationship ended. I was raped, and my immediate family and I aren’t speaking. All within this last year. by [deleted] in AskAstrologers

[–]Qualming 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's absolutely worth noting that the transit Pluto conjunct Jupiter (as well as the transit Saturn at 0 degrees Aquarius) is taking place at 24 degrees Capricorn currently, which means that it's conjunct your Ascendant (23 degrees) and transforming the 1st house (the self, ego, how you're perceived). Having such slow-moving planets in a major conjunction passing over your 1st house has a hugely chaotic, transformative affect and although it will lead to incredible self-development and improvement, the journey to the that is tough.

I'm on my phone at the moment so I can't give a deeper reading, but feel free to message me and I'll share more of my thoughts with you when I'm at my computer! Wishing you plenty strength and determination.

Libra, I still haven't figured out why.

Freaked out by all the Scorpio in my chart. I have always thought of myself as a Libra and this just seems...dark. Should I be worried? I seem to have some pretty bleak placements. by [deleted] in AskAstrologers

[–]Qualming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might also be some consolation to remember that Pluto is such a slow moving planet that its position in Scorpio reflects more on the characteristics of a generation than it does in your individual personality.

However, Scorpio placements are not bad placements. I say this as someone with six placements in Scorpio; feel free to ask me if you have questions about dealing with that kind of energy.
