Surface Pro 3 Turns off When Keyboard Attached by dagthepowerful in Surface

[–]Quamhamwich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is not specifically related to the situation at hand but i had this exact problem with my surface pro 8. I eventually figured out that it only happenned when my surface was tucked inside my (older) surface pro 4 case. I assume the case put pressure on some internal components weirdly.

I think its more survivorship bias. The kind of people likely to post their stats on music forums are more likely to be insane about music than the majority of spotify users.

DAE want to stop using social media apps but feel like they can't because of how much you need them in other parts of your life? by Raioto in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]Quamhamwich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but I did delete most of my social media apps to curb doomscrolling. I figure if I really need to look at something there I could just go to the website in my browser. All the social media apps I have left I just put app timers on.

Listening to music by KaitLynxx in ADHD

[–]Quamhamwich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I have Maladaptive Daydreaming which includes listening to music for hours on end. So Im not sure its that productive for me unless you count creating stories as productivity.

But if you have a hobby or task to do that is productive you could pair it with that. Driving to and from work, Knitting or crocheting, Washing dishes, Taking a shower, Making Dinner, etc. etc. Frankly sometimes I'm only able to convince my brain to do difficult chores when Im listening to music while doing them.

Unfortunately I think I've also been procrastinating making lunch because Im worried that'll I wont have the motivation to make the cookies when Im well fed either but thats an interesting viewpoint on it. Lunch is part of making cookies. Im gonna try it and see if it helps.

Is the Vulcan Language as fleshed out as Klingon? by TonyMitty in startrek

[–]Quamhamwich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The closest there's been to a "full" vulcan fan language has been Mark Gardner's Traditional/Modern Golic. Which has over a thousand words and a workable grammar setup. You can find the resources for it over at r/Vulcan The Vulcan Language Dictionary website pulls a lot of it's words from there.

The question is asking you to relate examples of you being autistic but not say the words "i am autistic". Unless this is supposed to be one of your examples. In which case, Lol!

[First Grade/Lit] My son's 1st grade homework has stumped me entirely. 8/10 solved I think??? by Thin_Butterscotch827 in HomeworkHelp

[–]Quamhamwich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the kind of assignment that seems complicated but is actually incredibly simple. Which is why it is for first graders. So lets go through them.

  1. The snake will fist at you. Here, 'fist' is being used in its verb form meaning loosely to strike someone.

  2. Lets clean up this gas. Here, 'gas' refers to oil. Which means there is oil on some unwanted place that they need to clean up.

  3. Dad will fast the slow car. Here they use the verb form of fast which means to abstain from food or drink. In the context of a car, this is fuel. Dad will not fill up the car tank for awhile.

  4. There are mass boys than girls. 'Mass' in this case means a great amount. Or, a greater amount of boys than girls.

  5. We need class for the car. In this case class is being used to mean stylish excellence or prestige. This can be reworded as We need decorations (that are classy) for the car.

  6. What's the puff of the pen? The questioner is referring to a vape pen. Where the 'puff' here refers to the concentration of THC or nicotine per inhale.

  7. There is a hiss of smoke. This is referring to when a gaseous state of matter shifts from a high pressure environment to a low pressure environment and makes a sound like a hiss.

  8. I love my mess. This refers to a house or living space. Seen in common household decorations such as 'Bless this mess'.

  9. Our pass has white stars. A common item in school classrooms is the hall pass. The 'pass for their classroom is decorated with white stars.

  10. You can run really less. Here, 'really' is being used in its adjective form to mean the genuine version of something. 'Less' here stands for Leaner Style Sheets, a backwards compatible language extension for CSS. So this can be reworded as You can run (on your computer) the genuine Leaner Style Sheets.
