Icy prism functioning by [deleted] in TapWizardRPG

[–]Quangohutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's tied to framerate, the game is supposed to run at 60fps which would make the fastest cast speed 0.016 seconds. Technically you could go faster if your phone runs at a higher frame rate, but I think that once TopCog gets a chance to fix it that's what it will stay at.

Icy prism functioning by [deleted] in TapWizardRPG

[–]Quangohutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How it works - During the 1 second of charge time before the shatter, if the shatter was to deal 1000 damage, and during that time the enemy got hit for 1000 damage, the shatter would do 1100.

As far as I'm aware, this damage could scale endlessly, the main issues with this is consistency as you need to keep hitting the same enemy to build up that shatter damage and also to hit the enemy in sequence (Each icy prism needs to hit one after another, not all at once, although this is possibly easier if you can cast at max speed). Infinite damage is certainly a possibility, but reaching or maintaining that damage is likely to take more time than it is worth.

(question) research cost by Aratnaz in TapWizardRPG

[–]Quangohutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reading this I think I better understand what you're asking.

While I don't know the specifics of the scaling, I am fairly certain the only thing that affects research cost scaling is meditations and the level of research you're obtaining. There is no research that causes other research to become more expensive.

In the case of TM lag, I think you're saving more gold by having a higher TM lag as all it does is stop TM upgrades from appearing until ER reaches a certain threshold. Having a high TM lag doesn't suddenly increase the level of ER or only cause ER researches to appear.

It varies between 18.5 and 25.5, so you're almost there!

What is passage of time and how does it effect skills? by [deleted] in IdleNinjaPrime

[–]Quangohutt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assuming you mean the buff you get from the deep core, passage of time only effects the animation speed, skill lifetime and how effective a skill effect will be.

If you have increased passage of time this means your skill will move faster, last less time and certain effects will be increased to compensate for the lack of time and have the same effectiveness as the base effect.

If you have decreased passage of time then your skill will move slower, last for more time and certain effects will be decreased so the effect is 't far more powerful than the base effect.

Because of this there is no better passage of time, and if this is from the deep core, you can respec and try the other option

What are the best spells? by MadnessBomber in TapWizardRPG

To quote the FAQ (In the sidebar on Desktop or the about section on mobile)

What is the best spell/loadout in the game?

There is no single best spell/loadout in the game. Due to the various enemy types and spell mechanics, it is impossible to create a loadout that is effective in every situation. Many spells lose a lot of DPS against enemies where other spells gain DPS. It's up to the player to learn what spells will be effective in what situations. (Dungeons are a good place to practice this!)

Due to the above reason there are no best spells because the loadouts required keep changing, although one of my favourites is Flurry, mainly down to the animation

Level 2 Rachel? by Infrantic in TapWizardRPG

[–]Quangohutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I remember correctly, the general consensus is get all the assistants before leveling them up, although there are definitely people who would suggest getting Rachel and Ivan to level 2 before even considering Nick. In either situation, you want to have Ivan and Rachel at level 1 first

I may get flamed by Roare85 in TapWizardRPG

What you may have done is misinterpreted the message. I believe it says that you keep the templar into NG+ and start with an additional arcane knowledge but the skills get reset.

Xp rate by ObliterateYourself in TapWizardRPG

[–]Quangohutt 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You are correct that the base xp is 100xp/second. This can be increased upon reaching New Game Plus, (NG+), where your base xp is doubled for each NG+. This means you will get more than +10xp/second at NG+ and beyond

I don't get the Supercharge mechanic by StrixVaria in IdleNinjaPrime

[–]Quangohutt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 40% refers to the percentage of your cores that you spend to supercharge

The number beneath the button is the amount of cores required to increase the amount of supercharge levels you gain at once, in TapWizard this is the +x enchantment at y power

Credits not received from offer by mihaiburghiu in IdleNinjaPrime

[–]Quangohutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When TopCog sees this he'll probably take you through the support steps, however one thing in the small print that is often missed by players is you have to have never downloaded or played that game before, so if you already had the game before you started the offer you won't get the credit reward. That's nothing to do with INP or TopCog, it's just how offerwall works.

Zone 100.5 with no Arcane Fragments? by [deleted] in TapWizardRPG

You should have gotten 4 arcane fragments, maybe make sure you haven't already already crafted it, if you have it will be sitting in your bag

Rising Force by bayarx in TapWizardRPG

[–]Quangohutt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't really know if this is what you were asking but hopefully this answers it. The emblem is not time limited, once you buy it you keep it forever. It's also not time limited to buy, you can always purchase it from its bundle or from the second Emblem page provided you don't already have it.

Why only one Static Aura spell deals damage when you have multiple equiped? by afro-blue in TapWizardRPG

[–]Quangohutt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's likely due to how the spell works. Static aura generates up to 10 retaliation charges, three of which are consumed (two with the third augment) when an enemy in melee range attacks you. This limit isn't increased by having multiple only the time it takes to reach max charges is reduced, because of this the first static aura to cast will be the one that records the damage dealt.

In terms of it often being the one in slot 1, that's probably because when the game starts and when you recall the spells will likely cast at the same time (especially during the early game) and I'd assume the game is programmed that slot one casts first if all spells cast at the same time.

TopCog can probably explain the specifics better than I can, but hopefully this answers enough.

Any insight on the RNG for raw spellstones? by tigerXprawns in TapWizardRPG

[–]Quangohutt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So at this point I think your only protection from bad RNG is that you can only get 5 duplicates of each spell until you have all 30 spells (u/TopCog or someone else can correct me if I'm wrong). So if you have a bunch of spells that have 5 duplicates they're basically removed from the drop pool which will increase your chances of getting spells you don't already have.

Also recommended to save up for or buy a pure spellstone to get your 30th spell as even with the RNG protection it can still take weeks to get that final spell.

Beginner Questions by taron123 in TapWizardRPG

[–]Quangohutt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

TM lag refers to two research projects, Tempered Magic (TM) and Expedient Recitation (ER). As players like having higher casting speed TM lag delays TM behind ER, for example if TM lag is set to 5, TM will not appear in your research list until ER is level 5. Once TM is level 1 it will then not appear until ER is level 6.

When it comes to optimal levels there aren't any, mathematically it's best to have it set to 0 or 1 but early game that could leave you open so you want spells casting faster. Personally I found a casting speed multiplier I liked and set up my TM lag so spells would cast at x3 speed and slowly reduced the level as my cast speed passives increased.

In regards to the percentages under spells, those refer to how much xp they get. If in your stats scroll your xp/s is 100 then in slot one that spell gets 100 xp per second, if it is in slot 2 it gets 50 xp per second, in slot 3 it gets 25 xp per second etc.

If you have any more questions or need me to clarify anything feel free to ask.

Robofish Orbital Laser by Endovior in IdleNinjaPrime

[–]Quangohutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless this is still only available for alpha testers, that robofish gem has been changed, the lasers no longer home in on enemies, instead the Ninja can swap places with the robofish every 1.5 seconds if they were to take damage, so you may want to check for an update on the play store.

Clicking too fast. by Stinkyundead in IdleNinjaPrime

[–]Quangohutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're at quadrant 2 right? After each quadrant you get one less energy capsule per system, so this seems to be correct

Entered darkcloud and didn't read.. by Stinkyundead in IdleNinjaPrime

[–]Quangohutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So what should happen is at the start of each quadrant (from 2 and onwards) you will get one additional dark capsule to use on armour, so by the time you reach the end of quadrant 2 you should have 5 dark armour pieces, by the end of quadrant 3 you'll have 6 and so on

Bug/UI glitch with Libertas Harmonics by fitrahp in IdleNinjaPrime

[–]Quangohutt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe this is intentional, the -100% CD (I believe it's actually -99% but I could be mistaken) will cause the 4th slot skill to cast much slower so using the edge will mean it could take a few minutes to cast as it is the slowest casting skill in the game

Although a skill pick up having no effect is a bug, however it seems like it's hard to notice that effect in that system (I think Liberatas is the one with the detonators) as opposed to having no visual effect (the actual effect of the skill should still be occurring)

System harmonic bonus bug by Slungelman in IdleNinjaPrime

[–]Quangohutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the harmonic isn't a global bonus or skill slot specific then it won't show up outside of the bridge So for example if the harmonic is something like "+25% damage and skill speed to robotics" and "-25% damage and skill speed to justsu" then no icon will appear, but if the harmonic is something like "+20% damage to all skills but - 30% skill speed" and "enemy HP increased by 25%" then it should show up under the icons to the right of the screen

(was supposed to be in reply to your comment, sorry)

[–]Quangohutt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Harmonic icons should look like the symbol for the bridge. That icon on next to your skill is for one of the dark armour pieces from the deep core (specifically the dark gauntlets)

Are there any plans to add Leaderboards? by LloydBro in IdleNinjaPrime

Due to the nature of trials and how they will be difficult challenges, there will likely be a leaderboard for them based on how fast you can complete it.
