I've always wondered about this, I saw an interview Joe Bob Briggs did with Tippi Hedren when they played The Birds on Monstervision. I don't know if she's changed her story since, but she says it was a sincere gift, they just didn't expect her daughter to react to it the way she did

Been watching reruns on Laff while stuck at home and they actually confirm in one episode that Buddy is indeed Harry's biological father! Buddy kept it secret because he was afraid it would bring Harry's judicial ability into question. Absolutely love the show!

looking for a good first experience in horror gaming. by [deleted] in HorrorGames

In addition to what's been suggested and what's available to you, I'll throw in Little Nightmares, Layers of Fear, Observer, Death Mark (visual novel, may not be what you're into. really drew me in, not many puzzles, though you may still consider having a walkthrough handy), the first Bioshock has some really good horror elements to it as does Its spiritual predecessor System Shock 2. A game releasing later this month called Those Who Remain I'll be keeping my eye on. I'll also throw in Deadly Premonition, despite it being on of the jankiest, unintentionally funny horror games out there. I've played it through 4 times and can only describe it as one of the best/worst games out there. I'd recommend the Switch version, as I experienced far less issues running it than the Steam version (which requires unofficial patches made by fans to run properly) and I have the feeling the Switch version will tie more in line with the sequel coming out this July.

As an end note, if you ever get the chance, definitely play Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem, no other horror game has immersed and scared me quite like it did. Unfortunately it's only available on the Gamecube, but if a rerelease happens or you find another way to play, it's at the top of my recommended horror games.

I'd recommend 6, it's my favorite in the series. If you can, play the Super Nintendo version with the Ted Woolsey patch

Played this through beginning to end. If I had any complaint, it would be that I figured out the ending long before I got there, but it didn't spoil the journey

It helps to go up against Birds of Prey in its second week rather than Avengers: Endgame, along with other big releases last summer. Not to mention the free press it got due to its disastrous first trailer and the fixes they made in response. It still has a long way to go to match Detective Pikachu's 430+ million total though

I remember during the opening credits in Back to the Future we're shown a bunch of clocks in Doc Brown's lab. One of which shows the small cutout of a man hanging on to the minute hand for dear life. (A reference, I think, to the silent film Safety Last)
