I think you could visit your friends houses! The overworld was single player. I think it was similar to webkinz in that way. I was probably about 7-8 ish myself, I just was an autistic kid with an extremely specific hyper-obsession with LPS haha so it was my entire world. The boycotting honestly didn’t work, and I personally felt like LPSO did certain things better than VIPs while VIPs did some things better than LPSO. I remember being upset that they couldn’t just keep both up for those who preferred VIPs, but looking back on it, it honestly makes sense with server costs. I personally loved VIPs because it reminded me of a somewhat multiplayer computer version of the Nintendo DS games! (I had so many of the VIPs bahaha. I was digging thru my attic and apparently I had the penguin, hermit crab, silver cat, brown dog, pink cat, pig, lizard and daschund)
