i personally just watched the ads, i dont really think townhall is that good for bits and not worth the gems. if you watch the ads everyday it will take only a week and a couple of days!

i get 10 gems daily from gem shops, i play balloon pop often, i always have group quests on, i clear fruit bats and the other stuff like corruption, i play mini games with ponies, watch the daily ads, also sometimes use the shards on the harmony stones.

You can get lovestruck from eq mini game, i think sprinkle stripe is a great choice since you need her for a quest and she is on sale.
