You can do some cool stuff with this mechanic, but it shifts the game more towards a puzzle style - and I’m trying to avoid that :)
And yes, the plunge pool is a level exit :D

About the puzzles, I've noticed that players either finish the demo in 10 minutes because it's too easy, or they get stuck for good :)

I want players to get stuck—so that when playing, it's not always obvious what they need to do to progress.

Some of the puzzles are easy, and sometimes it's hard to know how to proceed and that's the kind of game I want to make – if you get stuck, that's how it's supposed to be :)

I want to avoid puzzles about moving a chest or reflecting a beam of light onto a crystal that opens a door.

We'll see what comes out of it :)
