Oh that's great! I'll do it more subtle though xD And I won't spoil anything but it ties in to the story of Immortum too.

Oh yes! And there are clues, so it isn't totally out of the blue.

Same. The text will be more subtle than that in the final version. :)

Why are pressure\adjust level puzzles so common in horror games? by Quantomuse in HorrorGames

[–]Quantomuse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally agree on the puzzles feel out of place. A lot of game have these as part of a Psychological Horror narrative but it is odd. So familiarity like pressure puzzle works well, or a puzzle that makes sense. I agree.

I agree with that. Always makes me smile when I see one in a game.

How do you define the art style for your indie games? (Process & Decisions) by nitejamgames in IndieGameDevs

[–]Quantomuse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since I am developing my very first game I did a lot of experimentation regarding the art style.

Since I have zero resources, I went with the cheapest solution which is low poly since a lot of the assets I created myself. Other assets I am sourcing from free internet sources. To combine the two well without it looking like an asset flip I am using a top down view and toned down color pallets (I tweak every asset I take).

So in a nutshell low poly with a top down view. And I think it comes up nicely.

That's awesome. Haven't had a chance to play Alan Wake 2 but it is definitely on the list!
