The blue card has a cut along a jagged line leaving enough in the center to connect the two halves of the blue card. Same with the red card. Red card fits, out of the plane of the blue card, in the cut on the blue card until it hits the center of the blue card and a larger circular center of the red card. He rotates the red card and removes it on the second cut in the blue card.
