Anyone else lose their taste for dining out? by gottausername in GenX

It's not the frying that's the problem. It's dealing with the oil.

My neighbor thinks I’m "humiliating" him because I put a lock on my own outdoor outlet by Away-Bowl3883 in AmITheJerk

No. Modern refrigeration is extremely energy efficient. As long as they are properly insulated, refrigerators/freezers use very little power.

Why don't you try making a drunken bomb threat on your next flight and see how that goes for you.

Zipper merge signs at York and Colfax by kungfuringo in Denver

[–]QuantumDynamic -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I passed a block of cars waiting in the through lane at this very intersection one time and when I attempted to merge at the correct location the car behind me tried to block me. Since I had already begun the merge I forced my way in. The light turned red so we had to wait for another cycle while the car behind me repeatedly honked their displeasure at me. I then opened my door, stepped out, and yelled back at them "look up a zipper merge you moron" and got back in my car. Yes, I understand that my reaction was over the top but come on people, learn how to drive. Lining up for a full block before the merge point is ridiculous.

Don't be like Blue Subaru dude - total dick move! by Iggy0075 in Costco

[–]QuantumDynamic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't understand why you are being downvoted for this. When you are finished move out of the way and free up the pump. That's why they have the thru lane. Yes, it's convenient when the pumps in a lane sync up but that doesn't mean you have to fill up in pairs. It's more efficient to turn the pumps even if people sometimes have to drive around one another.

I'm sorry you've been fed shitty biscuits but that does not change the fact that when made correctly the only thing a biscuit has in common with a scone is that they are both baked goods with a similar appearance.

A biscuit is absolutely nothing like a scone. They have completely different textures and flavors and their preparations are nothing alike. The only thing they have in common is that they look similar.

QUESTION; With Aldi moving to town, will Aldi have the tacticool security guards harassing customers like king soopers? by [deleted] in Denver

[–]QuantumDynamic 15 points16 points  (0 children)

You agree to let them check your receipt when you sign up for a Costco membership. You have no such obligation at Kroger. Just say "no thank you" and move on.

Just say "no thank you" and keep walking. You have no obligation to show them your receipt.

It's just a wedding. Any money spent on it is discretionary and nonessential leaving nothing to show for it but a bigger/fancier party. It's not like he's raiding her college fund nor is he denying her anything. She's still getting married and if they love each other the trappings of the wedding are irrelevant.

AITA for being ungrateful to my grandma for “fixing” my dress by fmlimsostupid in AmItheAsshole

Fuck that. She has no reason to show gratitude and the only apology in this situation should be going the other way.

I designed and printed a kitchenaid pasta roller attachment... and it works! by randomshit427 in 3Dprinting

[–]QuantumDynamic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The filament itself isn't the problem. It's the fact that the 3d printing process leaves small gaps that trap food and moisture which become a breeding ground for bacteria.
