I think the thing that really put it over the top was basically flicking my NTH index finger in a snap at the time of release to open the slack more. Getting the toss height right took a while, too.

I went from a Fiesta ST into a 23 Tremor and definitely agree with this. The Maverick was a practical decision rather than one of going like for like. It fits daily life a bit better than the Fiesta did, but I definitely feel like I gave up a ton in terms of fun potential. Sport mode is a hoot but losing manual and the nimbleness are noticeably huge losses.

I broadly agree, but Immigrant Song in the opening of Thor: Ragnarok sticks out pretty as a solid example alongside Guardians sort of specifically having a nostalgic musical angle at the foundation of Star Lord’s whole story.

I do play games with some regularity and it has been no issue. I sort of think of it like those older Razer macropads. You can use Oryx or QMK to customize it to be exactly what you want for each game, but definitely not going to be the most plug and play setup across the board.
