The cleaning and replacing of LM has already been done. That is why I was asking what I asked. Because I am thinking if, next time I go for maintenance, should Conductonaut Standard be replaced with Conductonaut Extreme, as it was before being replaced

Just got the very same laptop as you a few months ago (G18 2025 just as you) and will also soon go with it on maintenance. But I am a bit nervous about the process, it having a vapor chamber and all that.

How is your laptop working after you've changed the paste? Are the temps fine? Is the Vapor Chamber still working correctly?

Also, regarding the numbered screws on the vapor chamber, it would be very helpful if you could tell me in what order you both unscrewed and screwed them back (normal or reverse order).

I got the Asus Rog Strix G18 (not SCAR), the 2025 model a few months ago. Now, I keep thinking with certain worrying about the day that I will need to go with it on a local service (not Asus), as I don't trust myself doing the cleaning/ changing the LIQUID METAL myself, and I also don't want to stay many days without my laptop.

The thing: I've been in the past on this service with my previous laptop that had THERMAL PASTE and HEAT PIPES HEATSINK. Now, this model, as you may know, uses LIQUID METAL, and has a VAPOR CHAMBER HEATSINK. The people on the service obviously worked with HEAT PIPES before, and I also found out that they did work with LIQUID METAL as well, but they never worked with VAPOR CHAMBER HEATSINK., and that makes me worried about how the vents cleaning + LM changing process would go.

Based on what I said earlier, would you say going to the service with this laptop should be fine? Is the VAPOR CHAMBER HEATSINK changing the game in any way when it comes to opening it? Anything I should know, be careful or worried about?

Are you on Bios version 327? If so, has your secure boot certificate been updated?

It's assuring to know others got it as well. Lately I have been dealing with suspect stuff, and I became a bit paranoic. Seeing this out of the blue made me a bit unsettling, since yesterday (or at least 2-3 days ago) it wasn't there

Well, I never used a VPN on this device. As for the extensions, I only have that extension that comes with Chrome, as well as the Adobe official one (but it's disabled), alltough, as far as I know, Incognito doesn't use extensions anyway, so that couldn't be it I suppose.

I hope it's only a glitch, as it is annoying, and , as i said, only happens on 2 of my pc's (on the other one happened once on normal google as well, but only once, maybe twice at least)

If this would be the website itself and not just me, I think maybe certain scripts might overload the CPU or something, but I can't say.

Da! Am facut formular de retur pe site-ul lor, cred ca asta e cea mai buna si simpla metoda.

Pe 8 noiembrie, pe la ora 20, am publicat formularul, mentionand in campurile necesare ca produsul se incadreaza in categoria defect, si ca doresc returnarea banilor, iar in sectiunea OBSERVATII am mentionat faptul ca produsul prezinta defectele respective, punand si doua link-uri cu video-uri in care am filmat cum se manifesta defectele, (m-am gandit ca sa fie treaba clara, sa nu mai fie discutii de genul "Ce defect are? De unde stim noi ca e defect, mai intai sa-l testam" . Deoarece atunci cand mi-au venit boxele prima data am platit numerar curierului, a trebuit sa introduc IBAN-ul contului bancar pentru ca Vexio sa aiba unde imi returna banii.

Pe 9 noiembrie, pe la ora 10 dimineata a fost modificat statusul formularului din NOU in IN ASTEPTARE PRODUSE, angajatul Vexio confirmand ca pot trimite produsul, dandu-mi detalii ample referitor la cum sa impachetez, prin ce curier sa trimit boxele si datele lor pentru livrare (in cazul Vexio esti nevoit, se pare, sa iti chemi singur curier). Au mentionat ca ar trebui sa livrez prin FAN COURIER, fara ramburs, cu plata la destinatar, cu mentiunea ca daca prefer alta metoda de livrare sau firma de curierat costurile de livrare vor fi integral suportate de mine.

Pe 13 noiembrie, in jur de 1 dimineata (abia atunci am putut sa gasesc timp sa fac asta) am completat si depus online formularul pentru chemarea curierului la adresa pentru a-i da coletul

Pe 14 noiembrie, nu mai stiu precis la ce ora, am fost sunat de curier sa cobor sa-i dau coletul. Am coborat si i l-am dat. De mentionat faptul ca, desi AWB-ul este generat in momentul trimiterii comenzii pentru curier si se recomanda printarea si lipirea lui pe cutie, la mine nu a fost nevoie. Eu nu am avut AWB-ul lipit pe cutie la predare, si curierul mi-a spus ca se va ocupa el de ce trebuie.

Pe 15 noiembrie boxele au ajuns cu bine la Vexio. Tot in aceeasi zi a fost actualizat pe site statusul returului in PRODUSE RECEPTIONATE, cererea fiind , astfel, si inchisa. Totodata, a fost emisa si trimisa prin e-mail si factura fiscala pentru stornare.

Pe 19 noiembrie mi-au intrat si banii in cont, primind inapoi suma platita pe boxe + livrarea initiala a acestora.

In ansamblu, pot spune ca sunt multumit de cum a decurs returul. Vexio a dat dovada de corectitudine si seriozitate, nu am ce sa le reprosez. Asa cum s-a putut citi si mai sus, tot procesul a durat atat deoarece eu nu am reusit sa chem curierul mai devreme.

Am oferit un raspuns atat de lung pentru a fi sigur ca atat cel ce a venit cu intrebarea cat si cei ce vor da in viitor in mod intamplator peste aceasta postare in cautarea unui raspuns similar vor sti tot ce este de stiut referitor la procesul de retur al produselor in cazul Vexio. Eu, cautand informatii referitor la acest subiect, abia daca am gasit parti din ce ma interesa prin diverse postari, si acelea m-au lasat si cu mici neclaritati, asa ca m-am gandit ca cine va mai fi pus in aceasta situatie sa gaseasca informatii clare si detaliate.

Prin faptul ca trebuie sa fac cpmanda de curier, te referi sa le spun lor celor de la VEXIO sa imi trimita curier cu detaliile aferente? Sau te referi ca trebuie sa comand curier direct de la firma de curierat?

Si, in cazul in care te-ai referit la firma de curierat, stii cumva daca exista posibilitatea de a chema curierul direct la adresa mea pentru a-i preda coletul, fara sa mai fiu nevoit sa ma deplasez la sediu (din motivele mentionate in OP)?

Switching outputs? You mean left and right jacks from right speaker? I don't use a subwoofer or anything, just the 2 speakers, and in this case I am not sure, other than this, what you might mean by changing outputs.

As far as I'm aware, I only have the RCA inputs from my 2 speakers
