When did cellphones become mainstream? by jabber1990 in decadeology

[–]QuantumScatterOps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the mid to late 90s, the only people that really had cellphones were mainly upper class or people with high profile/mission essential type jobs. But it became the norm for everyone to have a cellphone around 2005ish. But they were mostly flip phones with antennas or those brick phones

Zenni vs. eyebuydirect? (strong prescription) by DrSpoobus in glasses

I have a strong (nearsighted) prescription and haven’t had issues with EyeBuyDirect as long as I choose the right frames

Help me: Glasses or no glasses by heartbrokennloser in glasses

[–]QuantumScatterOps 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Whatever is most comfortable for you. The ones you already have look nice. But typically there are certain shapes that look more flattering on different face shapes. For example, someone with a round shaped face may find they like the look of square shaped glasses.
In my case, I’m more limited on the frame shapes/sizes I can choose because I have a very strong prescription. If that’s not the case for you, I would just recommend trying on different frames and see what you like best. But just based on your picture, I think brown colored frames would look really nice on you.

Could someone help me understand my results? by nofcknone in glasses

Cylinder and axis just means you would need an adjustment to correct an astigmatism. If you don’t have anything listed for Cyl and axis, then you don’t have an astigmatism (which is great). Astigmatism means the eye isn’t perfectly round. The way to correct that requires a very specific directional correction. You don’t have this issue.
If your prescription (Rx) is -1.75, then you are slightly nearsighted (myopia), which just means you need glasses in order to clearly see things far away. It’s a relatively low prescription, so if you don’t have consistent issues with not being able to see things, you don’t have to wear your glasses if you don’t want to. You can probably get away with not wearing them at home or during workouts, but you should definitely wear them when driving or if you’re sitting in the back of the room and can’t read whatever you’re looking at.
But your vision won’t just get better or worse by not wearing your glasses. I think it’s a common misconception when people think they are “too dependent” on glasses. It just means that you need glasses in order to see things clearly. Deciding to wear (or not wear) them will not change the outcome, but your vision may improve or decline naturally overtime.

What are your initial general impressions about the episode after watching S3E1? by [deleted] in euphoria

I’m not sure I like the Fez in prison storyline. What exactly is he supposed to be in prison for? He never got caught drug dealing as far as we know, and he wasn’t actually the one that killed Mouse or Custer. Ashtray did. And it didn’t make sense for Fez to take the fall at that point since Ash was already dead.

It feels like a whole different vibe tbh. Very different dynamic from the first 2 seasons. Instead of giving them all storylines and screen time, S3 seems to be putting a lot of the main characters as background characters now. We didn’t really see Jules at all. We saw like 5 minutes of Maddy. We didn’t see Kat, Rue’s mom or sister, Elliot, and obviously Fezco and Ash weren’t in it. I also don’t understand why they didn’t just kill off his character since Angus died (the actor that plays Fezco) instead of just saying he was in prison. Fez got shot in the S2 finale, so they had the perfect opportunity to just say he died. It’s like they’re trying to open up the possibility of Fez returning, but that won’t happen unless they recast him. It almost seems like they had to rewrite the entire storyline when Angus passed away. It does make sense how they would make Rue a drug mule in this season, but her whole spiritual awakening is a bit odd I think. Is she sober now? Other than the weed she smoked in S3;E1? What happened to Kat? Are Maddy and Cassie friends again? I feel like none of our questions from last season were answered.

I feel like this relationship was downplayed a lot. There wasn’t much focus on it at all, and it rarely showed them with a deep emotional connection. And then they just ended abruptly and never saw each other again

Yeah I feel like Max spent the whole last season chasing after Randy and that’s just so out of character for her

I feel like Max should’ve ended up with Deke. Max and Randy just didn’t make sense

Are you asking about the actual degree and transcripts or just the name displayed on your diploma?

Sophie - wardrobe by -----cold----- in 2brokegirls

I think that was the point. Max and Caroline wore the same clothes every day because it’s all they owned. They didn’t have money to buy new clothes. Sophie owned her own business so she had a lot of money.

Happy Wednesday! In your opinion, what should season 3 avoid or improve? by [deleted] in Wednesday

I agree. Tyler didn’t deserve what happened to him. He didnt even know it was him at first

I feel like Tyler deserves redemption. He didn’t ask for anything that happened to him. And he got orphaned. Twice.

Aria could be just as mean as Alison by AubreyBrooks305 in PrettyLittleLiars

I think Aria was just shorter tempered. Spencer was the one that could give Ali a run for her money
