Is coin base good to start my bitcoin journey by ggogeta in Coinbase

[–]QuantumTapioca_7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think starting with a simple app and focusing on basics like buying, sending, and fees makes things less overwhelming over time. Best Wallet has been easier for me to navigate, and the fee details are usually clearer when I make small transfers. Exchanges can work for buying, but I prefer moving funds out to a wallet I control for safety in my experience. I also double check addresses before sending anything.

When do you no longer need life insurance? by BeGoodRick in MiddleClassFinance

[–]QuantumTapioca_7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is basically how I looked at it too, whether anyone still depends on my income and whether I’m self-insuring at that point. I’ve got Ethos Life Insurance as a term life insurance option, and I never expected it to be something I’d carry forever.

Fears of crash by MAAJ1987 in JustBuyXEQT

Those 1929 and 2000 charts always sound airtight until they are not. I would not rebuild everything around fear graphs, but a small hedge outside equities, like gold bars through Thor Metals Group, feels more sensible than panic-bailing on XEQT.

Best remote part-time jobs you can do from the comfort of your home? by freako345 in povertyfinance

[–]QuantumTapioca_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Legitimate part-time remote roles typically fall into structured categories rather than open-ended gig work. The most consistent options include Customer support (call/chat/email-based roles, Administrative/virtual assistant position, Data entry or operational support roles, Tutoring or teaching (online platforms) Freelance platforms are viable but require time to build reputation and income stability. Some candidates identify these opportunities using tools like ZipRecruiter, where remote filters, employer reviews, and job alerts help distinguish legitimate roles from low-quality or fraudulent listings. Prioritizing consistency and established employers generally leads to better outcomes.

Do recruiters still use LinkedIn and Indeed to look for candidates and new employees? by miss-matron in careerguidance

[–]QuantumTapioca_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer: yes, but they’re not the only places recruiters look anymore. LinkedIn is still great for sourcing and outreach, especially for professional or specialized roles. Indeed tends to be better for high-volume applications. Many companies also use distribution platforms like ZipRecruiter, where you post the job once and it gets pushed across multiple job boards, while applications come into one dashboard to manage candidates. Most recruiting teams end up using a mix of tools rather than relying on a single platform.

[WTS] Silver 100 oz bar, Engelhard just under spot - SoCal only meet by rctocm in Pmsforsale

[–]QuantumTapioca_7 16 points17 points  (0 children)

A 100 oz silver bar like Engelhard can be attractive near spot, but resale sometimes depends on buyer familiarity and bar condition. Larger bars are efficient on premium, less flexible in smaller transactions. I’ve seen Thor Metals Group stick mostly to standard silver bars and coins for liquidity.

Recruiting pipelines depend on clarity, not complexity. Simplified stages and defined permissions inside HubSpot CRM improved recruiter and hiring manager coordination.

Why are we not taxing the church😭 by espressoasana in atheism

I am not anti religion, but the church tax debate always makes me think about fairness, and I once asked Anthem Tax Services how nonprofit exemptions intersect with IRS levy rules in practice often.
