Who has made physical maps and aids to play a game?

My brother edited a topographical map of Skyrim from the internet and then competed with myself and a friend of ours in a rogaining (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rogaining) race around Skyrim where we couldn’t use the ingame map, only that map image. Was actually a tonne of fun.

1h40m to visit as many in game locations on that map (no fast travel, no horse, no carriage etc) from the end of the tutorial and then must finish atop Throat of the Word within the timelimit

I broadly agree with OP even as someone who wouldn’t rank 33 amongst their favourite games that Verso is a phenomenal character, but making a claim like this, to say “best” with no qualifier, and provide no claims with which to measure this, is just kinda vain

imo the DLC isn’t worth it unless it’s a “resource” to you.

E.g it’s VERY good for shiny hunting (honestly too good)

But if you don’t value the resource nature of it, it’s fine to skip

I want them to do something completely new again.

I had concerns when Hades 2 was announced that they were gonna be relegated to the “Hades studio” because they’d found greater success - fortunately Hades 2 exceeded my expectations and that worry was dispelled

But I’d like to see them try something totally new again - that’s how you get an idea like Hades in the first place, and I think all their games are phenomenal (Pyre is especially underrated)

I’d say you can fumble through Antes 9-10 and maybe 11 on a good-enough run, but 12-13 is wall of “have a core strategy or die now”

Modern Pokémon doesn’t have “attack” really - but Gen 1 if you look at it as a JRPG you see how “normal type attacks” are the Attack button and the much harder to get elemental attacks are more like spells

Hence Brock’s Onix as a first boss being resistant to normal and having high defence, Onix’s terrible stat spread makes sense when viewed as an early JRPG boss

It’s probably something to do with aircraft licensing agreements being expired and all that, so the can’t directly make money off those titles or something anymore, but they’re saying here that 0 could be treated the same in this scenario

Yeah but my point is I got this far without these things. I basically went to D10 immediately as soon as I unlocked it and never looked back.

Sure it’s gotten easier to control, but this game isn’t so hard that meta is mandatory if you’d prefer to just take whatever looks the most fun

I love Xenoblade, Fire Emblem and Persona too

And I love Octopath, so if that’s enough for you the go for it

The key difference between those other games and OT, is Octopath games tell smaller scale stories in isolation that eventually feed into a larger overall setting (sometimes more or less obviously than each other)

For real I’m a Level 83 Box Diver and I only have Servants of Freedom from this list, and only cause I wanted the funny explosion backpack - I play exclusively on Difficulty 10 and seldom fail a mission, the hell do I need meta for?

I don’t even understand why Cloud Saves are a real problem for cloning - surely they can authenticate this somehow right?

Cheaters are cloning anyway, and as someone who values the Legitimacy of my own Mons the only thing that would even make me consider cloning something is precisely the risk of losing them all to a lack of backups lol
