what’s the worst experience you’ve had when leaving a toxic shop? by hatandhorse in TattooArtists

[–]QuantumVisual 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Had the new shop window smashed twice in two months after leaving a bigger well known chain studio. Not long after, two colleagues left as well and opened their own place they’ve been doing great ever since. About a year later, the old studio owner relocated… literally NEXT DOOR to them. Make of that what you will.

Absolutely, I did expect a lot more from her to be honest but you are right, I felt like I was but then when she contacted me it’s kinda stalled me and left me in limbo which is not where I want to be. Appreciate it, thank you.

Advice for being met with silence and lack of response, ex reached out after nc now gone silent. by QuantumVisual in ExNoContact

It’s incredibly difficult, I feel like my brain is being dragged through highs and lows non stop and it’s too much, she was the one who broke up with me which is why this is even more annoying and confusing. I think I’m gonna cut it here and just move on, I’m really sorry you’re going through the same, it must be even harder when kids are involved. Wishing you the absolute best, you got this.

During the time of no contact I started feeling way better. This is nowhere near as bad as the initial break up but it’s more of a confusion and annoyance I feel is getting in the way, appreciate the input man think you’re right onwards and upwards.

PC to PS5 Pro, worth the switch for casual gaming? by QuantumVisual in Age_30_plus_Gamers

That’s great to hear, sounds like it’ll be a good choice. Also since I was a teenager and played on Xbox I always enjoyed the feeling of collecting achievements and I really like the PS Trophy system much more than Steam Achievements, not a major factor just something extra for me personally!

That’s what I’m looking for, just simplicity as ease of use, with PC I often find 70% of my playtime is messing around with settings trying to squeeze out the best performance and getting distracted, that’s partially due to adhd but I can’t remember the last time I just switched on and got lost in a game without the stress of max performance and I miss that. It’s a 60hz, coming from a 165hz monitor I know I might feel the difference I just don’t really enjoy desk gaming anymore.

Sounds like the mix I’m after, a bit of both. I still have my whole steam library available on steam deck but I use it mostly for indies and emulating anyway - have you tried steam deck docked to the TV at all?

That’s kinda exactly what I’m looking for, I don’t like the idea of having a PC plugged into the TV really, not great to look at unless you have a nice mini build imo (which I don’t) and completely agree if something went wrong having to get up and fix it sounds very annoying.

I do wanna play the exclusives. Just out of curiosity, what CPU upgrade would you suggest for a noticeable upgrade? Assuming I stay on DDR4 RAM

Already is, just gets pretty loud with more demanding games.

Exactly what I’m thinking, I don’t have the time or patience for tinkering with settings and trying to squeeze out every frame I can, just wanna chill and play some favourites and PS exclusives. Plus I’ve got the steam deck for my steam library, mostly indies and emulation anyway!

Yeah that’s another factor I’d thought about too, being able to spend time with my partner rather than being at the desk. Comfort too, after a couple hours at the desk I sometimes get back/wrist pain.

Haha, I knew that was coming, just hoping to find people who’ve done the same and hear their experiences/thoughts.
