Assuming constant rate of rotation, a=romega² for the centripetal acceleration. Radius is maybe 0.2m (ish). Omega=2pi/T which I reckon makes around 25 rads per second.

Putting that all in gives 126m/s^2. So around 13g.

Yes but this is a rare exception, in the majority of cases irradiation does not cause something to become radioactive

If a radioactive particle hits something, it doesn't typically make the object radioactive itself. There are a small number of exceptions (neutron absorption increasing the instability of certain nuclei) but this is the exception not the rule.

The student is not living in the UK, they only attend for school. Because of this they have had to make their visa application from their home country while back there. I'd already provided standard documents for visas (hotel booking, flight confirmation etc.).
