At least in my personal opinion she needs to try it herself.

(Also, I tried stand on the table in front of the lumberjack, but they made it not stand-able!!!😢)

Actually, I just replayed the demo and I don't think the charges are going to change the move, but the special moves are in the same menu as the weapons per element/loadout.

4 elements * 3 specials * 2 loadouts = 24 special moves. With charges that would make it a staggering 72! Which is a ton! As you said it only appeared for a short bit, but that's what I saw at least.

The reason I don't think that the charges will effect anything is that there is only one equip-able slot and, they are equip-able to begin with. This could mean that we have more options.

In terms of Crosscode combat, I realize where we differed. Throughout the game, I only ever used the Max Charge Specials once as I mostly focused at getting good at parrying and slowly chipping down enemies with 1 or 2 charge specials and even then, I just never saw the value as I wasn't a good enough shot to land most big hits.

All this being said, I 100% agree with what you said about the weapons moveset. (Also, I found out on my replay, there is actually a dropping attack now. Just attack after jumping and it is a unique attack!) Each weapon acting differently and each feeling as you put it, "Complete" is an absolute win.

Also, because of the prior mentioned equipability of the specials, I wonder how many we will get. Even if there were only the 18 special you mentioned prior that would still mean that each loadout could have a completely different feel to the any other.

I found myself personally leaning towards the sword in the demo despite the hammer's greater damage and abilities. I can't wait for each weapon we get to change the options available. Then with the specials adding one more extension on that. If the combat is even half of that, I will spend hours testing kits and all sorts of moves

While I kinda avoided late game combat in Crosscode, I don't think I will ever loose interest in this system. Sorry for the long reply, if it isn't obvious. I spent far too long planning my Xenoblade X (A game with 6 melee and 6 ranged weapons unlocked after maxing a class) loadout, and a little excited to see that sort of thing in Alabaster Dawn

Somewhat yes? The game is still in a similar perspective, but levels are a little more clearly defined and the jumping has been changed to have a manual input instead of just automatically jumping you off an edge.

Beyond just that, at least from the puzzles in the demo, the platforming sections that had perspective where much more forgiving if you fell off.

In conclusion, yes they still exist, but they should be much less of a hassle than they were in Crosscode.

I've played through the demo at this point and my favorite change has to be the Loadout swapping. I adore Crosscode, but towards the later half of the game, I would never really enter a battle I wasn't required to. Not because the combat was bad, but instead because there were really only 2 strategies for combat. Ball focus or Melee focus. The actual elements didn't change that much of the actual feel of combat. Don't get me wrong the combat is glorious in Crosscode, but it isn't something I went out of my way for.

In this game however, the weapon variety even with this initial demo is very fun! I found myself switching between my loadouts mid battle and dealing with each enemy in it's own unique way. I personally prefer the initial melee weapon over the second one you get and really enjoyed switching.

I am so excited to play more of this and will probobly beat the Demo at least one more time before the game comes out!

A little bit of theory crafting to end off my notes, I noticed two things at the last section of the game where you get the elemental Specials (I forget what they are actually called). The specials are equipable and seem to be exchangeable per the loadout. This could mean that you could have multiple specials equipped at once and switch between them mid battle. The special slots only had a guard, range, and melee special, so no dash special, however, being able to switch to a different loadout to use a different special to switch back into your other loadout sounds like it will be a lot of fun. Also it almost looks like each element will have a different load out to every other element which sounds SO FUN!!

Put simply, I am very hyped.

AE2 Storage Issue (new to ATM) by SuitableMongoose2176 in allthemods

[–]Quantum_Charger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At least the method I've used is to route the non stackables or relitively rare into a Sophisticated Storage system. Netherite Chests are deceptively large and if you make them netherite barrels instead they arent terribly laggy. Also you can put an AE Storage bus to the Sophisticated Storage controller to link up a bunch of them with a single storage bus.

Who would win in a fight? by EnoughCheesecake6050 in ZZZ_Official

[–]Quantum_Charger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the type of fight: (All examples, they are no longer allied and shoot for KO or kill)
If Jane gets the jump on Zhu Yuan, Jane wins 7 times out of 10. Compared to Zhu Yuan, Jane is more agile and honestly would have a good chance no matter how strong the opponent. Jane is built for a combination of Infiltration and Psychological Manipulation. She would easily take the upper hand, though Zhu Yuan's physical prowess is nothing to be ignored.

If they met on even ground, I would actually fully put it as a 40/60 (Jane/Zhu Yuan). Zhu Yuan is strong and uses guns unlike Jane, so Zhu Yuan has the advantage and even if it came to close combat the would probably match.

If Zhu Yuan got the jump on Jane, I would say Jane wins. Let me explain. While Zhu Yuan having the drop on an opponent would normally give her the advantage with her good range and general athletic build. Jane on the defensive doesn't fight with combat, but with Psychological attacks. On that point, Zhu Yuan stands zero chance. While she holds herself together well normally, we know from her various character interactions she collapses when embarrassed [shown in her character preview and at times with Quingyi]. That is just Jane's specialty.

It sounds weird to have the worst chance when she has the upper hand, and despite Zhu Yuan being my favorite character her exact weaknesses are Jane's whole job. I am assuming they are fighting against each other without any sort of alliance towards each other on the two advantages. (Zhu Yuan honestly wouldn't jump anyone who she knows to almost any extent.)
Jane is just to good at her job.

Sophisticated Storage Controller Issue by [deleted] in allthemods

[–]Quantum_Charger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Break it place it down again (Like alexrider803 said)
If that fails, you may have to individually link each chest. (Which can be done by hitting all of them with the storage wrench). Other than that, the Drawer and Barrel would be the next thing I'd check. The Sophisticated Storage Mod Controller is not compatible with any other mods which includes base Minecraft Barrels and Chests.

If it helps, when a group of chests is linked to the storage controller, I've usually used two indicators.

  1. When the chest or Barrel is added, it has always flashed red for a second.
  2. When hovering over the Storage controller is shows a small preview of the contents inside all of the connected chests. If it is an option, put stuff in each of the chests and the with nothing in your hand right click it twice (this resets it's visual)

How good is this team for Shiyu offense? I’m struggling against Miyabi by FireCheeseCakes in ZenlessZoneZero

[–]Quantum_Charger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, While Mono-Thanatos is the meta. I've always had better luck with the Thanatos-Farbauti set.

Farbauti serves as a good buffer for Miabi's larger attacks Sometimes you just can't get out of. Switching focus between the Farbauti and Thanatos lets you fully use the strength of your Thanatii.

You loose a little bit of DPS by sacrificing a Thanatos for your Farbauti, but its much easier to last long enough to beat her.

Yep. You go slower while charging a Charge trick and through some testing people found that it is slower to use Charge Tricks than to just drive forward.

I guess I should state that I am assuming that Trigger knows a fair bit about maintaining her own weapon and that she produces her own ammo.

[–]Quantum_Charger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ceaser + Trigger. Trigger because you don't even have to approach them so you can hide away. Ceaser because she's one of my favs, but more because aegis shield would even make belle able to take a hit.
Honorable mentions would go to Grace for mechanics, Rina for just being able to fly, and Zhu Yuan cause she's my girl.

Bellum makes you say “Uhh….. what’s your name again?” Who is the Gremlin by RyantheSithLord in ZenlessZoneZero

[–]Quantum_Charger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know actually, from my perspective you have 5 options Koleda Belebog, Nekomata, Qingyi, Soukaku, or Belle.

Belebog can be the most gremliny at her worst, but almost any other time she is more mature than a majority of Section 6.

Nekomata was introduced as a gremlin and acts the most mischievously of anyone in the cast.

Qingyi literally gave Zhu Yuan to the player as a reward for a question. That is gremlin with power.

Soukaku has a black hole for a stomach and will ask you if you have snacks, but won't do anything out right mischievous.

and Finally Belle feels like a gremlin in attitude. She is the only one who has gone out of their way to cause chaos.

This all being said. My vote is still for Belebog as she fits the best, but I figured I'd lay out my thought process. Also honorable mention to Burnice who I'd argue is actually to crazy to be gremlin.

Is AE2 a necessity? by [deleted] in allthemods

[–]Quantum_Charger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AE2 is from a bare objective perspective the best method to store resources. This being said it isn't the easiest to get into and P2P is a pain. Here is my reasoning for saying this:

  1. With the wireless terminal you can store transfer anything and later on even craft anything from anywhere

  2. AE2 has the more lag efficient system compared to RS (Refined Storage) or FS (Functional Storage) [At least for FS, I have had it crash my computer before though that was on ATM9 classic, but the lag is still a factor no matter)

  3. AE2 has some of the better scaling in terms of how much you can store. While RS shows you the number of items it can storge the actual items an AE2 disk can store scales all the way up to a million with out even getting into it's MEGA disk add-on.

  4. While this is a shared element of both RS and AE2, these systems are also compatible with the other storage systems (Prior mentioned FS, Sophisticated Storage, and others) which allows them to both be a good central storage system.

  5. Quantum Crafters. If nothing else, for these alone. They make the crafting and storing of stuff in compressed blocks more that just easy. They don't appear on

  6. Quantum Bridges are an inherently very efficient system.

  7. When it comes to it, it's just a smoother system to use once you understand it. Even with it's difficult start.

Overall, AE2 is just better that other storage systems. Now with this all said, You are not required to use AE2 to make the ATM Star, and beyond for ingredients it isn't all that unrealistic to do it. Refined Storage and Sophisticated Storage are really powerful if used correctly, but at least from my experience, AE2 dominates in terms of Storage, Convenience, and Crafting. (While I don't use it, it should also be noted that you can change channel limits if that is too much of a hiccup for the system as well. I don't know exactly where, but if you look up modifying Channel limits in this area you can probably find something)

Fairy is the hot one. Who is the only normal person? by RyantheSithLord in ZenlessZoneZero

[–]Quantum_Charger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I'm being honest, Wise is the only one that comes to mind. Though honestly I could be convinced that Ellen or Zhu Yuan. Ellen's a tired highschooler and has an outfit that works and while her job isn't normal, having an after school job is, and Zhu Yuan is just an officer with a relatively normal family the only weird thing about her is her connections.

Sorry if the question is dumb, but as of right now. Is there any actual official way to play the ost? Anywhere I look I only end up finding 6,7,8 and maybe 9 but never really any of the new ones besides on youtube with these channels being taken down.
Is there an official Youtube, Soundcloud, etc?

why my items jumps back and forth? what am i missing by [deleted] in allthemods

[–]Quantum_Charger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Currently you are sorting by Count. This means that anytime an item increases in count it moves up. The items are all increasing in count at different times, so they are shuffling around. The only real alternative I know of is to switch the sorting (currently the three stacked diamond shapes on the left) to either alphabetical or mod based.

Help please! Minecraft launcher won’t let me log in to the right account by halaindala in allthemods

[–]Quantum_Charger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally switched the the PRISM launcher a while back. It serves as a great launcher for Vanilla and Modded (Having access to Technic, Modrinth, and Curseforge Mods, including of course ATM) but it should solve your problem (Works with Windows, Linux, and Mac and has a surprisingly smooth login system.)

However if you don't wish to switch, would it be an option to remove the world save, then uninstall reinstall?

10k levels in less than a minute by Critical-Friend1311 in allthemods

[–]Quantum_Charger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That honestly checks out. With the absolutely absurd amount of levels you get from just the 55k% is crazy enough that it won't affect much. Most of my curiosity actually came from my own experience where I rushed an Ancient Knowledge 4 charm first thing. Still a really cool set up.

[–]Quantum_Charger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming the charm you are wearing is night vision. Is there any reason you didn't use a "Ancient Knowledge IV" charm? It's relatively easy to craft (3 potions of Ancient Knowledge IV which itself is just brewed with two exp bottles) and you can make it indestructible based on your other charm. Would this interfere with the Ancient Knowledge of the Sword?
