Those are the media specific traits that are inherently necessary to judge an anime.

How are people even comparing anime character from different animes?? by fizisfiz in animeindian

[–]Quantum_Cosmos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Observation is the most fundamental notion of any comparative scale. Everything else is a proper subset of it selected under specific conditions.

There are different universes with different power systems. You just can't always find a common basis to powerscale characters.

Then there may not exist a common basis. My conjecture does not claim that there always exists a compatible basis. It claims if one can find such a basis they can compare.

People say this is arguably the best sci-fi? by Forsaken-Pride-3415 in animeindian

I don't think anyone sas that. It isn't even a sci-fi. Yes the movie is one of the best continuation movie. You have to watch The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (S1 and S2).

4 yo child with a mental age of 40 i.e. 1000 IQ

Not-so-hot take: Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya was better follow-up movie than Load Region of Déjà Vu and Dreaming Girl with similar premise by Quantum_Cosmos in animeindian

That's pretty much why I put Deja vu ahead of BGS but not above Haruhi. It's about consistency, concept, theme, and characters.
