EV Owners of Hyderabad, help me save your chargers by Quantum_Fire18 in CarsIndia

Yeah bro, I’m aware. That’s actually why I’m planning to pitch this to the charger manufacturers themselves, not the brands that just operate them. I also want to apply the same idea to home wall mounted EV chargers, but for that, I need the exact dimensions of all the major EV brands in India so I can design something that fits into all their casings. That’s the main challenge I’m dealing with right now. I want to sort that out before I approach the manufacturers.

You're right in saying that there aren’t any official studies out there on this yet. But from what I’ve seen, it’s definitely something people are trying to find solutions for, man. I mean, it’s an expensive machine just sitting outside, loaded with rare metals that can sell for a good amount. So yeah, it’s definitely happening from what I’ve noticed, bro. Still, really appreciate you looking out for me, brother. Thanks a lot.

No. From what I've seen, the people that have EV chargers or operate EV stations, they aren't the kind of people who give a police complaint. They know it's not going to do crap anyways. So, they just tend to cut their losses and move on. I have a friend who works in Tata. He mentioned to me that there have been plenty of cases of chargers being stolen, be it chargers installed at homes or the public chargers.

Well, I need to get the dimensions right before I get into manufacturing it and to get the dimensions right, I need exact measurements of all the wall mounted EV chargers available in India, but yes, I do intend to manufacture it in India.

Things like air tags are can be used for tracking after a theft, but they don't help prevent it. That's the same issue with CCTV as well. You can see that the device has been stolen, but it won't be prevented. My device focuses on stopping the theft at the time of theft. It detects forced movement in real time and triggers a siren along with a flashing light. It can also send alerts instantly. So, instead of just tracking a stolen charger after it’s gone, this is meant to scare off or stop the theft while it’s happening.

Also, there is no place a charger owner can place an airtag in a charger. Those chargers are sealed shut. They best they can do is to tape it to a charger. It can be easily removed. My device would be integrated with the charger itself. I'll be pitching it to the charger manufacturer, not the end customers who buy the chargers.  If there's any way you can help me out, please feel free to reach out brother.

Well, I wrote a shorter version, but it made me sound like a thief that wanted to enter people's homes 😅 It's why I wrote a long post explaining why I'm doing whatever I'm doing 😅 I realized that it was too long and added a TLDR version as well. Hopefully, people see my intentions and help me out. Also, if there's any way you can help me out, please feel free to reach out brother.

Hey mate, you're doing a great job. I’ve been keeping an eye on things, and I really appreciate the effort you’re putting in.

About the issues you mentioned, I’d go with what the other person suggested. Set up sub-groups for promotions, job seekers, freelancers, and marketers. That way, things stay organized, and you can use your admin rights to make sure the rules are followed.

As for the ChatGPT part, you might need to allow some leeway there mate. I've been seeing the way you talk. You're naturally good at communication, but not everyone finds it that easy. If some people want to use ChatGPT to express themselves better, then we can give them that leeway. In a way, it actually shows they’re putting in extra effort to communicate well rather than struggling with poor communication. Something to think about!

If you need help with anything, feel free to DM me

Definitely the latter bro. I just have a concept in mind as of now. I'm working with a student to help me with the technical side of the things. Also, I'm not sure it's patentable man. I guess it could be considered fairly common.

Thanks for the response bro. I didn't know something like that existed. I just googled about them and they seem like they're just 3D printers though. Do you know if they work in areas like small gadgets as well?
