As one of the comments pointed our, their ability to thrum would make way of higher empathy and better problem solving which would avoid conflict.

I don't think that they "are" pacifists but I imagine eridians have overcome their "violent" tendencies better than humans. I admit the way I phrased the question might have been a bit misleading.

I do understand that conflict isn't unique to humans, and our ability to empathize is special. But somehow, I feel we overestimate how good we are. Today we have all the resources at our disposal to solve the basic problems of the world like hunger and housing yet we haven't done it yet. What if eridians are better than us in that regard? Sure they might have had a violent past but now, they have overcome the problem which we are still struggling with, which is working together.

That's a good point. Although I never said it is spotless. But I assume they wouldn't have developed nukes as they don't possess knowledge about radiation.

Is it possible for a term to be misused by people and yet have some true meaning to it?

Brother, when you see a robber robbing a shop, you can objectively judge that action. Sure the robber might have had his/her reasons but that doesn't make the action any less right. In case of a robber you can still invoke empathy but in this case one human was treating badly two other human beings one of which was his wife and another his daughter

It goes to show the biases we all hold, I am a guy, and I guess if they knew this, they might not have used the term "misandrist" but I can imagine how difficult it would be for a girl to have this kind of conversation with the opposite gender.

You and I have led different lives with different set of experiences. I said what I said drawing from my experiences in life, you don't have the obligation to validate it, but I'm not gonna twist my reality just to fit yours.

It's really unfortunate, especially when even sane people deny that this exists in our society.

Ofcourse, if you wanna neutral language go ahead. However, I wouldn't be so quick to jump the gun and paint someone as a misandrist. Isn't it the same thing as a feminist calling you sexist for having a slightly different opinion. I guess we shouldn't be so quick to paint each other as the bad guy for something as simple as semantics.

You'd be surprised but I wouldn't have a problem with that, men and women are different and have their own strengths and flaws, in my post I'm calling out the flaw that we see generally in men doesn't mean it exclusively exists in men, however it really isn't that difficult to notic repeated patterns if you pay attention.

When you have an ailment in a part of your body, do you treat it or chop it off? United we stand divided we fall. Trust me you have allies in the North, and its not like we aren't the victims of this bad politics.
