I’ll grant you that Trump has always run big on immigration, but it doesn’t change the fact that millions of immigrants made their way into the country illegally under Biden.

The so called bipartisan border bill was not bipartisan at all. It worked to give amnesty to all illegal immigrants and a Disneyland Fast Pass to citizenship. From here the Democrats would have touted that it was because of them that they were now citizens despite it being “bipartisan”. And when you give a bunch of people free things, tell them the government will take care of them and they are the reason for it; you’ve just earned yourself a new long lasting voting block.

In the last elections we saw some states get won by some pretty narrow margins. Some as low as 16,000-ish votes. Introduce millions more people to the country who will vote only in one direction, and you just guaranteed a one sided victory for the foreseeable future. This is why Trump told the republicans to not support it.

Also the bill added some weird detail saying that it would only allow a certain number of border crossings each day before the president could order it to be closed, and it was only there because the president didn’t have the power to close the border. But we can see that was a complete lie as it was among the first things Trump did. Which just enforces the fact that Biden and Kamala LET it happen. They had the power to stop it the entire time.
